UNSW Village is a modern student accommodation in Sydney, the high street of Sydney's Kensington area, within walking distance of the UNSW campus. Built in 2009. It has 1021 beds, divided into single and multi-occupancy rooms, and is popular with students. Due to its convenient location, facilities and management, It is one of Sydney's most famous student residences. Built over eight floors and boasting stunning views of Sydney's city centre, the apartment offers fully furnished flats and residential living activities that allow you to study and have fun. 

 

Features:

UNSW Village is a student residence affiliated with the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Australia, offering a variety of room types for students to choose from, including Non-En-suite, Studio, 1 Room, etc. The Non-En-suite is a shared bathroom type of room, ideal for students who want to share a space with a roommate; the Studio is a self-contained type of room, which combines a bedroom, kitchen and bathroom; the 1 Room offers more space and more privacy, providing a further option for students who need more privacy.

 

In addition, UNSW Village offers residents a variety of recreational and activity facilities, such as a gym, swimming pool, barbecue area, cinema, etc., so that residents can relax and enjoy campus life. Location and What's Hot?

UNSW Village is in Gate 2 of the University of New South Wales. It is convenient to many of the city's most famous attractions, including Talking Tounges Speech Pathology, East Side Riding Academy and Moore Park. Spend time in the cafe with friends over a drink and a chat. Suppose the hotel's catering doesn't satisfy your discerning taste buds. In that case, the hand-shredded pork burger near The Paramount Coffee Project, the smoked beef rib steak at LP's Quality Meats and the roast shoulder of lamb at Chiswick may whet your appetite. A convenience supermarket is an 8-minute walk away. There are plenty of shopping centres around the flat. You can go to Chancellor Plaza or Randwick Plaza, which has a wide range of goods. Those who like coffee can go to Sharetea Kingsford. You can visit shopping malls such as Market City or get a feel for the lively atmosphere of Chinatown at the Sydney Night Market. 

 

Transport:

UNSW Village is located in Sydney near the University of New South Wales, within walking distance of the UNSW Campus and many other universities in the neighbourhood, including Southern Cross University Sydney Campus, which is 12 minutes by car, and the University of Technology, which is 17 minutes by car. The University of Notre Dame - Sydney Campus is 16 minutes by car, The University of Sydney is 19 minutes by car, and the nearest bus stop to the flat is NIDA, Anzac Pde, 7 minutes walk, 12 minutes by car from Sydney Airport.

Our security team will respond quickly and provide professional solutions to ensure your stay at UNSW Village is safe and comfortable. In addition, to ensure the privacy and security of our residents, we have set up a strict access control system, where only card swipes are allowed to enter and exit the living areas.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). You are only eligible for this exemption if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your Residential Agreement start date. If you are within 14 days of your Residential Agreement start date, or if your Residential Agreement has already started, you are not eligible for this exemption.

No Place No Pay

If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

Travel Restrictions

If you are an International Student that has not yet travelled to Australia and you are not able to enter the country due to Government travel restrictions in relation to COVID-19, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.

Classes moved to online only

If your course has moved to online-only teaching, you may cancel your Residential Agreement up to 14 days prior to the agreement start date.
This policy does not apply if you have the option to take your course on campus but elect to take it online only.

TWho is eligible?
You can secure your room for 2024 and rest easy knowing that you have the peace of mind to cancel your Residential Agreement for the following reasons:

You do not get accepted into the University
If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you do not get accepted at the University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

You get accepted into a different University
If you are a domestic first year student (domestic Year 12 school leavers only) applying through UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC and you get accepted at a different University you may cancel your Residential Agreement within 5 days of the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC Main Round offers release date (generally around late January – refer to the UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC website for actual dates).

You do not receive a Visa to study in Australia
If you are an International Student and you do not get your Visa, you may cancel your Resident Agreement within 5 days of receiving notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). You are only eligible for this exemption if you cancel more than 14 days prior to your Residential Agreement start date. If you are within 14 days of your Residential Agreement start date, or if your Residential Agreement has already started, you are not eligible for this exemption.

What do you need to do?
You will need to provide CLV in writing, the supporting official evidence demonstrating you meet the criteria within the timeframes outlined above. You will need to provide your supporting evidence to mystudentvillage@clv.com.au including your full name, application number, email and phone number in your email.

Official supporting evidence is:
Declined visa notification from the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
Notice from UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC or the University that your application has not succeeded
Notice from UAC / VTAC / QTAC / TISC or the University that you have been accepted into an alternative University


What happens when I cancel?
If you have not yet moved in, you will be refunded your security deposit and any other upfront fees. Refunds will be processed within 30 days. If your contract has already started, you are liable for rent up to the date of notification / moving out of the village and your security deposit will be returned to you provided you have met the move-out conditions.

However, application, registration and cleaning fees (where applicable) are non-refundable.

Where will the Free Cancellation Policy not apply?
The policy will not apply where you have accepted a University Offer but you elect to defer or withdraw from your studies, or if you change your mind about where you would like to stay.
