Opened In September 2016, this is the OG VEDA building. We know we re not supposed to pick favourites, but Lakeview's comfort and charm will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Lakeview's north-facing suites have stunning views of the valley below. It's also the first building on Academy Way to feature amenities that allow you to socialize wlth your neighbours and be part of a community. There s a games room with a pool table and a foosball table, a gym unlike any we've seen in a residential building before, a BBQ courtyard, and 4 study rooms. Lakeview has a club room with vending machines and a fireplace; it's the best place to hang out if you want to eat pancakes or chill with the B.A.R.K dogs (ya, vedacrew gets free pancake breakfasts and B.A.R.K drop-ins).

When should I start looking for student housing in Kelowna?

Start in January, and if you see a suitable property during that time, just apply as soon as possible; if you don't find a suitable property, you can wait. But if it's May or June, do it as soon as possible. The longer you wait, the less cost effective housing becomes available, and after August, the options become scarce.

Can I come to Kelowna and see the apartment before I decide to sign?

Yes, we encourage students to see the apartment in person before deciding to sign up, so they can get a more direct feel for the apartment. However, we have to admit that many students want to move in right away when they arrive in the Canada. Also, the closer to the start of the school year, the higher the price and the fewer good apartments there are. Therefore, students should decide when to sign up according to their actual situation.

When I rent an apartment in Kelowna, can I return it at any time after signing the lease?

No. You cannot. Generally speaking, once a lease is signed, it is effective immediately and cannot be terminated early by either party. Under Canada law, if a tenant signs a long-term lease, they are responsible for the entire term of the lease, and the landlord has the right to demand all of the rent even if the tenant moves out.
