Kelvingrove House is a cheap student accommodation in Glasgow, built and opened in 2014, directly opposite Kelvingrove Park in beautiful surroundings. There is a Tesco Express downstairs for easy access to everyday essentials. The flats are available in En-suite and Studio room types, with matching furniture and bedding to help students quickly settle into their new surroundings. The University of Glasgow is only a 10-minute walk from the flats, making them an excellent choice for students.

 

Features

Kelvingrove House student accommodation offers 116 houses comprising 1 En-suite and 2 Studio room types. Whichever room you choose, your room will have a large comfortable bed, inside shower room, plenty of storage space, and all matching furniture. A complete set of bedding will be provided to help you settle into your new surroundings quickly. The kitchen area will also provide living facilities, including a cooker, fridge, oven, etc.

 

Kelvingrove House student accommodation is committed to ensuring that students not only receive a high-quality education but also experience a comfortable and fulfilling stay. The facilities here are second to none and have been designed with the modern student in mind. The on-site gym provides residents with an ideal space for fitness and activity, whilst the dedicated study rooms provide a quiet sanctuary for students focused on their studies. Location and What's Hot? 

Kelvingrove House is located on the west side of Glasgow city centre, with a Tesco supermarket downstairs and local supermarkets such as Lidl and Sainsbury's, as well as an Asian supermarket, iMart, within walking distance. When you don't feel like cooking, there are restaurants such as The Brunch Club, Farina Pizza Pasta and Gloriosa around to help you out. For a taste of British pub culture, grab a drink with friends at Dukes Bar, The Islay Inn and BrewDog.

 

Kelvingrove House student housing is far from the business district but is surrounded by many nature parks, museums and art galleries, making it a great place to escape the hustle and bustle. A two-minute walk away is Kelvingrove Park, one of Glasgow's oldest public parks, which sees walkers, cyclists and runners using the extensive grounds. The interior contains the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. Kelvin Hall Open Collections, the Riverside Museum and the Hunterian Art Gallery are also within walking distance.

 

Transport

The Clayslaps Road Bus Stop is 4 minutes from the Kelvingrove House, the University of Glasgow is 10 minutes, The Glasgow School of Art is 13 minutes by bus from the station, and the Academy of Music & Sound, City of Glasgow College, and Glasgow Caledonian University are all 21 minutes away by bus. The University of Strathclyde is further away, taking 32 minutes by bus. The Exhibition Centre train station is a 12-minute walk away when you need to go to other cities.

 

Security & Services

A 24-hour electronic access control system and video surveillance system are in operation at all times, and external visitors must pass through multiple electronic gates before entering the apartment. In addition, Kelvingrove House has its own independent facilities maintenance team. Your problem will always be our first mission.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

Prospective international students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Institution in any of the cities in which Homes for Students operates, and who book a room with Homes for Students, will be allowed to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if they do not receive the entry Visa they require for their study in the UK and evidence is provided.

Only new customers who have never lived at a Homes for Students property are eligible.

If a customer does not receive the entry Visa they require for their study in the UK and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Homes for Students with evidence of their refusal of entry to the UK to study no later than 7 days after notification of their refusal.

Evidence can be a copy of the letter from the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration service or other official Visa issuing body as well as a letter from the university, sponsor or institution where they were supposed to be studying. It must clearly show the student's full name, address and date of issue. This can be emailed to salesenquiries@wearehomesforstudents.com or posted to Homes for Students, 3 Clock Tower Park, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool, L10 1LD.
Customers who do not apply to be released from their Tenancy Agreement within this timescale will be bound by the terms and conditions set out in the Tenancy Agreement.

No Place No Pay

Prospective first year students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Institution in any of the cities in which Homes for Students operates, and who book a room with Homes for Students, will be allowed to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if, as a result of not achieving the required A-Level, Scottish Higher (or equivalent) results, they do not gain a place at their chosen university and evidence is provided.

Only new customers who have never lived at a Homes for Students property are eligible.

If a customer does not gain a place at their chosen University or College and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Homes for Students with evidence of their rejection and evidence of the reason why (proof of results achieved etc) no later than 3 working days after their results day.

Evidence can be a written rejection letter from the University/College/UCAS, or a screen shot of the customer's UCAS status along with the results etc. This can be emailed to salesenquiries@wearehomesforstudents.com or posted to Homes for Students, Clock Tower Park, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool, L10 1LD.

Customers who do not apply to be released from their Tenancy Agreement within this timescale and provide the correct evidence will be bound by the terms and conditions set out in the Tenancy Agreement.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

7 days cooling off period
You can cancel your booking up to 7 days after you accept your offer or pay your deposit, providing you have not already moved in to the property and the apartment will refund your security deposit in full. Deposits will normally be refunded within 28 working days of cancellation, however the legal obligation as a landlord is to secure all deposits with a third party protection scheme. In the event that your deposit has already been sent to the protection scheme by the time you cancel your booking, your refund could take up to 60 days to be refunded due to the protection scheme's processing period and your deposit refund will come directly from them - you will need your repayment ID which will be sent to you directly by the protection scheme. If the deposit has already been sent to the deposit protection scheme, then the apartment is unable to influence their processing time.

2.Out of Initial Cancellation Period
If you cancel your booking after the 7 day Initial Cancellation Period, you will remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until the apartment is able to re-let the room. If they are able to re-let the room they will release you from the agreement upon payment of a £50 variation of contract fee which they will recover by retaining part or all of your deposit. If you have paid a lower deposit amount, that's the amount that will be retained.
