Cambridge Court is a British-inspired student accommodation in Liverpool, located within the Student Village on the University of Liverpool's South Campus. The flats offer en-suite studios, with kitchens and living rooms shared with other students, and are particularly suited to students who like to have a lively, social life and make lots of new friends. The halls of residence are ideally located and have excellent infrastructure. It is only a 3-5 minute walk to Liverpool John Moore University and the University of Liverpool Management School. The flats are also close to Liverpool's two main railway stations, making them ideal for international students who are new to Liverpool.

 

Features

Cambridge Court has 474 beds and offers only one En-suite room type. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and requires a shared kitchen for 4-6 people. Rooms are furnished with single beds. The hostel also has a person who cleans the common areas every fortnight. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the flats, and the rent includes water, electricity, gas, internet, etc. The bedrooms have beds, mirrors, shelves, wardrobes, desks and chairs, and the kitchens are fully equipped with ovens, fridges, and stoves. Students can move in with a handbag.

 

Cambridge Court common areas are cleaned by housekeeping staff free of charge and are always kept tidy, making it an excellent place to socialise and study. There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry room for students' convenience. In addition, there is a bike storage area and car parking area, making it a great place to socialise and study. There are Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, making it ideal for students new to Liverpool.

 

Location and What's hot

Cambridge Court is ideally located in Liverpool's student village, making life very convenient. Within a 10-minute walk, there is a general supermarket, Tesco Express, a Chinese supermarket, two lifestyle supermarkets, and Lidl.  A few metres from Tesco and some Chinese restaurants, Hong Kong-style tea restaurants, and the popular Szechuan restaurant. Cambridge Court is close to Hope Street, which has many small bars, restaurants and cafes. The city centre is a 15-minute walk from the Cambridge Court, and Liverpool One shopping mall is a great place to buy clothes and shoes from the most popular brands in the UK. 

 

Transport

Cambridge Court is in the middle of several universities in Liverpool, and it just needs a 3-minute walk to Liverpool International College and a 15-minute walk to Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool Hope University. Bus stops are nearby, and Liverpool Lime Street Station is about a 12-minute walk away, so it's easy to get around.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

No Visa No Pay (NVNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking has their visa application rejected, the student can provide evidence of the refusal and the booking will get cancelled with no liability.
b.For the evidence at 7(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.Students can only cancel under 7(a) above, and under the NVNP policy, if they have applied for a visa and can evidence this. Students who haven't got a visa because they haven't applied for one are not eligible for the NVNP cancellation policy.

No Place No Pay

No Place No Pay (NPNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking for a room is not accepted at a university in the city where they have booked a room with us, the student is able to cancel their room outside of the cooling-off period without the need for a replacement tenant provided they are able to provide evidence that they have not met the requirements for their offer or have been rejected by the university for some other reason.
b.For the evidence at 6(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.We reserve the right to check with the university if the evidence is genuine or fake. Providing fake / photoshopped documents is forgery and is an offense punishable by law in the UK.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

3 days to accept the offer+ 7 days cooling-off period
Once a booking is processed, the student has 3 days to accept the offer. It means for the student and the guarantor to accept the contract and pay the £250 advance rent payment. (For bookings in England only. No Advance Rent Payment is required for bookings in Scotland).

Once these steps are done, the booking is completed.
If one of the step is not completed within these 3 days, the offer will expire.
If the student still wants a room, we can re-process a booking, but we cannot guarantee that the same room or the same price will be available.
Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.

Details

Making a Booking

International cancellation provisions
These additional cancellation provisions apply for any individual making a booking outside of the United Kingdom.
1.Cooling Off Period – the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply;
2.After the Cooling Off Period - Once the Cooling Off Period has expired the Tenant remains liable for the rent for the whole length of the tenancy unless they want to cancel with one of these 3 conditions:
-No Place No Pay: the provisions for No Place No Pay set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply, save that this option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No Visa No Pay:if the student doesn’t get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No ATAS certificate, No Pay: Some international students coming to the UK to study in very specific fields need to apply for an ATAS certificate. (Academic Technology Approval Scheme). If a student’s ATAS certificate application is rejected the student must send us the ATAS certificate application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite Students and must be sent to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
If an agent is involved the evidence must be sent to the agent and then forwarded on to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
3. Replacement Tenants - the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply. Please note the point that Unite Students is under no obligation to enter into a Tenancy Agreement with any replacement Tenant that is suggested under this provision.
Passed the 31st August, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
The student remains liable for the rent unless they find a replacement Tenant.
