Stratford One is a sophisticated and comfortable student accommodation London, offering both en-suite and studio rooms, with en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom. The studio rooms also have their own kitchen. Located in the Stratford area of East London, Stratford One offers excellent value for money accommodation, including modern design and a full range of amenities to make living and studying here easy.

 

Residence facilities

 

Stratford One is located near Westfield Stratford City, Europe's largest urban shopping centre, and has 1001 en-suite rooms. All En-suite rooms are 11 sqm in size and offer 3/4 size beds (190cm*75cm). En-suite rooms are located on the 7th to 19th floors of the flat and prices increase with each floor.

 

Studio rooms are self-contained kitchens, bathrooms, modern kitchens, bathrooms and desks, with basic kitchen facilities such as fridges, microwaves and ovens. All studios are 22 sqm in size and offer double bed size beds.

 

The flats offer high speed free WiFi in all rooms as well as in common areas and can be upgraded for a fee. There is a free recreation room and study room for students to use in the flats. The laundry room has a washing machine and dryer which can be used online via the flat app.

 

Location

 

Straford One is ideally located just 4 minutes walk to Stratford International train and light rail stations (DLR) and 7 minutes by train to the St pancras area of the city centre.

 

Transport: Stratford tube station is only a five-minute walk from the hostel and the central line (red line) provides quick access to the popular London areas of Bank, Oxford Circus, Holborn and the universities surrounding these locations, the Jubilee line (grey line) provides direct access to London Bridge and the DLR (light rail). London Bridge on the Jubilee line and Greenwich on the DLR (Light Railway).

 

Loughborough London Campus is approximately 14 minutes' walk away.

 

The University of East London's Stratford campus is approximately 13 minutes away by underground.

 

UCL East Campus is about 12 minutes walk away.

 

The Queen Mary University of London can be reached in around 18 minutes on the Central line (Red Line);

 

The Central line (red line) takes you to Queen Mary University of London in around 18 minutes, and from there you can reach many of London's universities, including London Metropolitan University (22 minutes on the tube), City University London (27 minutes on the tube), Cass Business School (33 minutes on the tube), and the University of Greenwich. minutes on the tube), University of Greenwich (37 minutes on the tube).

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

No Visa No Pay (NVNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking has their visa application rejected, the student can provide evidence of the refusal and the booking will get cancelled with no liability.
b.For the evidence at 7(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.Students can only cancel under 7(a) above, and under the NVNP policy, if they have applied for a visa and can evidence this. Students who haven't got a visa because they haven't applied for one are not eligible for the NVNP cancellation policy.

No Place No Pay

No Place No Pay (NPNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking for a room is not accepted at a university in the city where they have booked a room with us, the student is able to cancel their room outside of the cooling-off period without the need for a replacement tenant provided they are able to provide evidence that they have not met the requirements for their offer or have been rejected by the university for some other reason.
b.For the evidence at 6(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.We reserve the right to check with the university if the evidence is genuine or fake. Providing fake / photoshopped documents is forgery and is an offense punishable by law in the UK.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

3 days to accept the offer+ 7 days cooling-off period
Once a booking is processed, the student has 3 days to accept the offer. It means for the student and the guarantor to accept the contract and pay the £250 advance rent payment. (For bookings in England only. No Advance Rent Payment is required for bookings in Scotland).

Once these steps are done, the booking is completed.
If one of the step is not completed within these 3 days, the offer will expire.
If the student still wants a room, we can re-process a booking, but we cannot guarantee that the same room or the same price will be available.
Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.

Details

Making a Booking

International cancellation provisions
These additional cancellation provisions apply for any individual making a booking outside of the United Kingdom.
1.Cooling Off Period – the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply;
2.After the Cooling Off Period - Once the Cooling Off Period has expired the Tenant remains liable for the rent for the whole length of the tenancy unless they want to cancel with one of these 3 conditions:
-No Place No Pay: the provisions for No Place No Pay set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply, save that this option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No Visa No Pay:if the student doesn’t get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No ATAS certificate, No Pay: Some international students coming to the UK to study in very specific fields need to apply for an ATAS certificate. (Academic Technology Approval Scheme). If a student’s ATAS certificate application is rejected the student must send us the ATAS certificate application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite Students and must be sent to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
If an agent is involved the evidence must be sent to the agent and then forwarded on to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
3. Replacement Tenants - the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply. Please note the point that Unite Students is under no obligation to enter into a Tenancy Agreement with any replacement Tenant that is suggested under this provision.
Passed the 31st August, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
The student remains liable for the rent unless they find a replacement Tenant.
