It is run by a Head of Hall, supported by a Hall Administrator, a Night Manager, a Student Support Coordinator and a Residential Life Manager. Weir House also has eight Residential Advisors (RAs) who are senior students as well as employees of Victoria University of Wellington.

Weir House accommodates over 300 first year students in a vibrant community which has a strong academic focus. The four houses are minutes from Kelburn Campus.

Weir House has a fantastic reputation as a place where you will have the opportunity to make life-long friends, to excel in your academic pursuits and develop leadership skills. We are proud of our tradition as a highly sought-after hall and it’s our constant mission to evolve to meet the needs of our student residents.

The communal dining room serves three meals a day. Packed lunches and late dinners can be arranged, and vegetarian options and other dietary needs are catered for. There are kitchenettes on each floor.
Fees include electricity, heating, internet, and water charges.
