To start your application, you will need to pay two weeks' rent (your down payment). This will be considered your first rental payment once the booking is confirmed and you move in.
How much security deposit do I need to pay?
A security deposit equivalent to 4 weeks rent is required when signing your contract to live in Iglu. This amount is then sent to the relevant state's rental tenancy bond authority until you vacate the property. Then, at the end of the contract, it is refunded to you, less any money you may owe Iglu, such as unpaid rent or damages.
Will my rent price go up?
The rent is fixed for the period of 6 or 12 months when the contract is signed. If you decide to renew your new contract, the weekly rate will be based on the rack rate at the time of signing, which may increase.

Prices are per person per week. The price includes your own bedroom, utilities and a basic internet package.
Can I live in Iglu for more than 12 months?
Yes, you can live in residence during your studies. We will always contact you before your existing tenancy expires to see if you want to renew and for how long.
How often is the rent paid?
You must pay your weekly rent every fortnight and it is your responsibility under your Tenancy Agreement to ensure that rent is paid at least two weeks in advance at all times.
What credit cards are accepted for payment at the apartment?
You can pay with Visa, Mastercard or Amex credit cards.
Will the apartment refund my deposit if I don't have a visa?
If your Australian student visa application is unsuccessful, we will gladly refund your deposit. Please see our Cancellation and Refund Policy for details.

How long is my contract?
To maintain our contract cycle, your contract will usually run for a full 6 or 12 months. In some cases the amount will vary and the hotel will advise you if this is the case. Of course you will always have the opportunity to renew your contract and the property team will be in touch with you before the end date to advise you.
