There are a lot of white men and women living in Iglu, and what impressed me the most is that this building has particularly strong security, which makes me feel very safe at night. The entertainment room has a PS5, and I often sat on the sofa on the first floor playing with friends, and there are also a billiard table and a table tennis table, so the facilities are complete. The self-study room and the meeting room are very quiet, which is also good.
One of the things that stressed me out the most before coming to Melbourne was finding a place to live 😂. I was worried that the location might be inconvenient, and also that the actual apartment wouldn’t match what I saw online.
In the end, I chose the apartment I’m living in now, and after staying here for a while, my overall experience has been pretty good. The location is quite convenient, making it easy to get to school, supermarkets, and the city center. It’s very friendly for international students who have just arrived in Melbourne and aren’t yet familiar with the area.
What I like most is that the apartment has fairly complete common areas and facilities, with suitable spaces for studying, relaxing, or working out. The room itself is also comfortable to live in, with basically everything needed for living alone.
Also, after moving in, if I run into any issues with payments, facilities, or other matters, I can just go to the front desk and ask. Communication is quite convenient. When I first arrived in Australia, I wasn’t familiar with many things, so having staff available to consult directly really saved me a lot of trouble.
If you’re coming to Melbourne to study for the first time and don’t know how to choose accommodation, I think it’s a good idea to compare the location, room type, budget, transportation, and daily convenience in advance before choosing the option that suits you best.
Overall, I’m quite satisfied with my stay so far. I hope this honest move-in experience can serve as a reference for students coming to Melbourne in the future～☺️
