It was constructed in 2016 with 14 floors and offers 535 comfortable living spaces, including two-bedroom studios, single suites, two-six bedrooms apartments; all apartments are self-contained and fully furnished with large beds, mattresses, wardrobes and storage space, and study desks and chairs along with your kitchen appliances. Additionally, a number of bus routes are available from the Footscray Market/Leeds Street bus station, approximately 0.5 kilometres away. Footscray tram stop (route 82) is a viable option for those who prefer to travel by tram. The tram stop is approximately 1.2 kilometres away and is served by tram 82 along Maribyrnong Road. Victoria University, Footscray Park Campus is a 3-minute walk, Victoria University City King Campus is a 17-minute ride, and The University of Melbourne is an 18-minute ride.

We totally understand that life doesn’t always go to plan, which is why we want to ensure that you have peace of mind when you book with UniLodge*.

Prior to my lease commencing?

If you were not successful in receiving a visa to study in Australia before the commencement of your lease start date, we ask that you complete the following actions:

A written email requesting cancellation, which must be submitted to the property at which your booking is held within 24 hours of you receiving notification from the Department of Home Affairs, along with the email from the Department of Home Affairs advising your refusal notice to study in Australia. You will then be formally advised that your lease agreement will then be cancelled without penalty.

After the commencement of my lease?

If you are cancelling after the commencement of your lease date due to not receiving a visa to study in Australia we ask that you complete the following actions:

A written email notify that you wish to terminate your lease, which must be submitted to the property at which your booking is held within 24 hours of you receiving notification from the Department of Home Affairs, along with the email from the Department of Home Affairs advising your refusal notice to study in Australia. The Property Manager will consider your request for the breaking of your lease and advise whether your request has been accepted.

Do I still have to pay if my visa is not approved?

If you are unsuccessful in obtaining an Australian student visa by the rental start date, we ask that you write an email requesting visa cancellation, which must be submitted to you along with the email within 24 hours of being notified by the Home Office The apartment informs you that you have been refused to study in Australia. You will then be officially notified and your tenancy agreement will be canceled without penalty.
