And when you want to enjoy the Wollongong city life, Weerona is only a 10-minute walk into the CBD and its selection of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Fully catered, so you can focus on uni For your convenience, Weerona is a fully-catered residence, where 19 meals a week are provided. This is all of your meals excluding weekend lunches. A wide range of food is available, and special dietary requirements or cultural tastes can be taken care of by our kitchen staff. The dining room is open for breakfast and dinner. Outside of these times, students can prepare snacks in the kitchenettes which are located throughout the residence.
Community conscience Get active in making a difference – some of Weerona’s community engagement activities include a Pink Breakfast, Cancer Council’s Relay for Life, and Community Awareness Week.

Weerona College has 35 shared rooms and 134 single rooms which are placed in a dormitory style layout in three wings. Students share unisex bathroom facilities with private cubicles. The communal TV room has a pool table, large screen TV and DVD player with a selection of DVDs. An outdoor deck provides a great place to catch up with friends, while the squash courts and music rooms are popular places for students to practice their game or hold a jam session. The Long Room is often used by students for study groups, team meetings or social occasions. The recently renovated BBQ area is a popular social spot. Cricket matches, boules and informal Sunday BBQ's are often held in this area. Laundries have coin operated washing machines and dryers in addition to irons and ironing boards.
Ground floor rooms and bathrooms in B&C Block of Weerona College are easily accessible by wheelchair. The dining room and other administration areas can be accessed from B&C Block. It is recommended that incoming students have a tour of the residence and discuss their particular needs with our staff well in advance of university commencing. To organise a tour, please contact Disability Services who will organise for a Disability Officer to assist with the tour and help identify the most suitable accommodation.
