Weka Hall, Auckland

Weka Hall is a catered hall ideal for first year students who want to be part of the student community. Located opposite Te Rito social hub, residents of Weka Hall are just a short stroll away from Student Central.

Single occupancy, 24 rooms per floor (12 per wing) with shared bathrooms (four per wing), for 70 residents.
Suitable for students aged 22 to 30 years.
Fully furnished. Everything you need to study, relax and rest.
Social hub on each floor.
Less than a two minute walk to Student Central.

Support
Residential staff provide pastoral care and support 24/7.
Six Residential Assistants live onsite within the halls to provide after-hours support.
A residential life programme of activities and events is run throughout the year.
We focus on community building, well-being, life skills and academic success.

Catering
A choice of three meal plans are available base, lite and regular.

Meals are served at the following venues in Student Central:

Breakfast and Lunch meals: Food For Thought or Browse Cafe.
Evening meals: Food For Thought.
You will need to use your student ID card to purchase your meals.

Internet
Wireless internet is provided throughout the village and is inclusive of room rate.

Heating
Heaters are provided in social hubs and each bedroom.

Furniture
Basic furniture is provided. Each room comes with a king single bed with drawers, desk, chair, noticeboard, bookshelf and wardrobe with drawers and a mirror. Residents can bring their own towels and bedding or purchase a linen pack at a cost of $125.00.

Laundry
The laundry is located at the rear of Te Rito, with 24-hour access. Card-operated washing machines and dryers available at a cost of $3 per load. You will need to provide the washing powder.

Parking
Car parks are available in the car park behind Weka Hall. Parking is $125 per semester.

A free bike rack is located outside Te Rito.

Te Rito social hub
Te Rito is a communal social hub for all residents of Te Ōhanga Village.
