Bishop Amat Memorial High School is located in La Puente, in the eastern region of Los Angeles. It is part of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles and was founded in 1957. As a coeducational institution, it is one of the oldest Catholic college preparatory high schools in the San Gabriel Valley. The school offers a wide range of AP and honors courses and has a strong athletic tradition, particularly in football and basketball. It also maintains an extensive alumni network. The surrounding community includes a significant number of Chinese American and Latin American families. The school is approximately a 30-minute drive from downtown Los Angeles.
