Are pets allowed in the apartment?

Pets are allowed, however we do not allow pets over 25 lbs and aggressive breeds. Includes $350 one-time fee and $25 per month pet rental. All pets must obey property management guidelines and regulations.

What does the rent include?

Internet (Wi-Fi and hardwired), water, hot water, sewer and trash removal are all included in your rent

Is parking available at the apartment?

Yes, during the 2022-2023 lease term, we offer resident parking at $100 per month per parking spot. We have space in the surface parking lot behind Building 2 (9 Dog Lane), additional parking in the parking lot across the street (attached to Building 3) and one behind Building 7 (40 Wilbur Cross Way) Gated private parking. Please note that parking spaces are limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis.

How much is the apartment deposit?

The deposit is $1500 per resident. The deposit is required within 24 hours of signing the contract.

Does the apartment have a lift?

Yes, each apartment building has an elevator.

Are apartments available for renewal?

Renewals can be accepted, just follow the steps below: 1. Open the renewal email from the apartment. 2. Review the terms and click "Accept" 3. Follow the prompts to sign a new rental agreement.

How to receive express delivery in the apartment?

There is a mailroom in the lobby of each building. Each apartment has its own mailbox, and there is a new package concierge system that allows residents to pick up large packages that don't fit in their mailbox at any time of the day! For large packages, the office will also have a sign-off so that residents can pick up during business hours Bring a photo ID to the office to pick it up.

Is the apartment furnished?

The apartment does not provide furniture, students need to buy it by themselves.

Is the apartment furnished for lease? Or does uhomes provide furniture packages?

There is no furniture package in Yixiang, but the apartment provides furniture package rental service. Small apartment provides sofa-cocktail table-floor lamp-headboard-mattress-wardrobe-nightstand-table lamp-two dining chairs, the price of 12-month lease is $99/month; large apartment provides dressing table and mirror bedside counter lamp dining table 4 dining chairs, the price of 12-month lease is $119/month. How much is the application fee for an apartment?

The apartment application fee is $75 per applicant.

Can the apartment share roommates? Is the living room habitable?

The apartment does not provide the service of roommates, because the apartment needs to be rented out as a whole. However, uhomes in a foreign land can meet the requirements of students as much as possible and help them find roommates. No occupants are allowed in the living room of the apartment.

Does the apartment need to buy insurance?

The apartment requires renters insurance. Generally, the apartment recommends Residents Protect insurance, with a one-time payment of about $160 a year.

What fees do I need to prepare to apply for an apartment?

The cost of apartment application includes 4 parts, application fee $60 per person + deposit $1500 per person + apartment service fee $250 + tenant insurance fee

How to turn on the electricity and internet in the apartment? Need to call yourself?

Students do not need to connect electricity and internet, and the apartments are fully prepared by students. The apartment rent includes the Internet, and the electricity bill will be sent to the students' personal accounts every month. Students only need to pay the electricity bills in their own accounts.

What do the utility bills cover when renting an apartment in Storrs?

Utility refers to the water, electricity, heating, garbage and wastewater treatment fees, security fees, Internet and cable TV fees and other miscellaneous expenses that the tenant spends every month. Some landlords will include all these costs in the rent and require tenants to pay them together.

When renting a house in Storrs, can I cancel the lease at any time after signing the lease?
