Can I live with a friend, or can you match me with a roommate?
You can choose your roommates, or you can apply yourself and we can match you with other students. Applicants answer a short list of lifestyle questions to help with matching.
What is an individual contract?
Each has their own individual contract, rather than requiring all roommates to sign a joint lease, one for each bed. This means you only pay for yourself, not your roommates. You only pay for the bedroom, even if a roommate moves out or other bedrooms in your apartment become vacant.
What does the rent include?
Each resident of University House pays a flat fee which includes: Furniture High Speed Internet Water/Sewer Fees Washers and Dryers in every apartment Community Features - Pool, Fitness Center, Clubhouse, etc.
Is the apartment furnished?
Yes, all University House apartments are provided with a furniture package that includes a full-size bed, dresser, desk and chair in each bedroom. Each living room offers a sofa, coffee table and bar stools, and some apartments feature an entertainment station.
When does the contract start and end?
The standard term is from August 15, 2022 to July 24, 2023, in 12 equal installments.
Is a co-signer or financial guarantee required?
Once a housing agreement is signed, each resident must secure their financial obligations in one of three ways: by providing a qualified guarantor (usually a parent); by prepaying the final 1½ installments; or by purchasing from the apartment's partner Leap Third Party Guarantee. In limited circumstances, condominiums are also exempt from the financial security requirement if the resident has sufficient income.

Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. Residents can pay online 24 hours a day by credit card or ACH electronic check. University House also offers automatic payments via credit card or checking account - just fill out one page, once, and the payment will happen automatically. Credit and debit card payments are subject to a convenience fee.
Is University House open to non-students?
Nearly all residents of University House are students at Arizona State University. The per-person contracts are also designed with students in mind. Nonetheless, Apartments is an equal opportunity housing provider and welcomes applications from non-students. Families are also welcome, subject to occupancy restrictions. Due to the need to match student roommates, non-students must apply with enough roommates to fill the desired apartment.

What kind of safety and security is provided?
University House has fire sprinklers and secure entry with electronic locks and individually locked bedroom doors. Community patrols are provided at certain times.
What is the policy regarding pets, smoking and guests?
University House is a pet-free community. The community is non-smoking in all indoor and adjacent areas, as well as in outdoor amenity areas. Guests are welcome to stay at any time with the consent of roommates and safety considerations. Overnight guests are welcome, but there are day and guest restrictions.
Can I park my car at the apartment?
University House offers private covered car parking in our attached garage for an additional charge.
What other transportation options do I have?
The University House is just steps away from the ASU campus and Sun Devil Stadium. It's also across the street from the "Veterans Way/College" Valley subway station. Trains run every 12 to 20 minutes throughout the day, seven days a week, to the University Avenue and Mill Avenue stations, as well as Sky Harbor Airport, downtown Phoenix, Glendale, and Mesa. Service hours are Sunday through Thursday before 5am until midnight and Friday and Saturday late until 3am.
