Accommodation Options – Weeden Lodge is a refurbishment of the architecturally significant Cameron Offices. The Cameron Offices hold Commonwealth Heritage Values, and are listed on the Australian Institute of Architects register of significant Twentieth Century Australian Buildings. The Cameron Offices were constructed between 1970 and 1976 and were re-purposed to student accommodation in 2012 for South Wing and 2014 of North Wing. Many of the rooms feature full height fixed glazing taking in light, and views of the architecture, local area or the heritage courtyard.
The accommodation options are quite extensive, offering single, double or twin studios, and 2 bedroom studios, along with multi-share apartments with 3, 4 or 7 bedrooms. The rooms come completely furnished with beds, television, study desk, bookshelf and chair and they have ducted heating and cooling. The kitchenettes allow for small cooking adventures, and there is a full size kitchen on each floor for those a little more adventurous. There are also ensuite bathrooms within each apartment. The new North Wing contains small stove tops in each room for those looking for the added convenience of daily in room cooking.
Great Location – Weeden Lodge is Campus Accommodation at the University of Canberra. The property is conveniently located and a pleasant 10 minute walk from campus itself.
