The room is very cost-effective, very close to the school, and very safe.
The location is great, very close to the campus, and there are many supermarkets and restaurants around.

I think it's alright. The key is that you choose the apartment, and ask more questions from seniors on Xiaohongshu.

To summarize, one issue is that there are many noisy bars downstairs on the nearby street, and another is that there are a lot of homeless people at the entrance during non-winter months. Before staying here, I checked the reviews on Google Maps, which mentioned that repairs for broken facilities are difficult, but when I personally reported a problem with the air conditioning, the efficiency was still acceptable. Some rooms have full beds while others have twin XL beds, so it depends on luck. Personally, I think the twin XL is too narrow to sleep on (the bed frames in the U.S. are quite high).

I don't get along with my roommate. My roommate always brings people home, and the apartment management can't do anything about it, which is very frustrating. It's very noisy around here, and at night, there's someone partying on State Street.
