Armory House, Champaign

Armory House is a cheap student housing in Champaign. The apartment provides a variety of room types such as single room, double room, and deluxe double room. The room is furnished, and the rent includes meal plan and utilities. There is a student kitchen with an oven, stove, fridge, and microwave. Armory House is located close to University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a 10-minute walk to there. And it is a good choice for the students who want to find a place to live with their classmates.

Feature

Armory House provide share room and single room for students to live in. The shared room is suitable for two students or a couple to choose. In the room, there are 2 single beds, with 2 desks and chairs, closets, and storage room. The AH Main kitchen is located on the first floor of the building; AH Suites provides two kitchens, which are located on the third and fifth floors of the building. Laundry rooms are available on the 1st and 2nd floors of the apartment. There also an air conditioning in each unit for you to use in a hot summer or cold winter. We do close during the university break periods (Fall, Winter & Spring Breaks). We do offer break housing during those periods for an additional fee.There are also restaurants available, providing 19 meals a week, three meals a day from Monday to Saturday and brunch on Sunday. There are 200, 250, and 300 meal plans per semester to choose from, and the meal plan includes Chinese food. Meanwhile, Armory House provide free Wi-Fi for the residents. Also, there is CCTV camera to monitoring the safety of the whole apartment. The students can go to the gym to do some exercise and the game room for them to play with their friends.

Location and What’s Hot

Armory House student apartment is in a prime location and there are some restaurants, bars, supermarkets close by, and easy for the students to buy what they want. Maize Mexican Grill, Meatheads, Sakanaya, and Cravings are close to the apartment, and it is convenient for the students to eat outside the campus. After your meal, you can go to bars such as The Red Lion, Murphy's Pub, and Legends to have some drinks with your friends to enjoy a fancy night. Near the Armory House, with a walk distance, you can reach Target Grocery and AM-KO Oriental Foods & Gifts to buy some food, drinks, and daily necessities. During the weekend, you can go to Johnstowne Center and Lincoln Square Mall to shop your clothes, shoes, and other commodities.

Transport

The location of Armory House is superior, within ten minutes' walk you can reach the main quad of University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (the main class place for freshmen), which is very convenient for freshmen. The transportation is very convenient, one minute walk to the bus station. The Champaign-Urbana, Illinois train station is a 5-minute drive away from the apartment.
