Within walking distance is the huge Tempelhofer Feld with its great open space for doing sports, relaxing or sitting comfortably in the beer garden. Also within walking distance is Victoria Park, the famous Curry 36 snack bar, Potsdamer Platz, Check Point Charlie, the Jewish Museum Berlin and the Technical Museum. Nearby are the subway stations "Gneisenaustraße" and "Mehringdamm". From here you can quickly get around Berlin, be it to Berlin - Mitte to the Hackesche Höfe, Alexander Platz with the TV tower or to City-West to Kurfürstendamm (Ku'damm).
