Overall stay experience is rated 8 out of 10. The room is fairly spacious and the layout is reasonable, but the promised cleaning every two weeks basically didn't happen. In one year of staying, it was cleaned only twice in total.

Very good, highly recommended to stay.

Kitchen utensils are provided except for knives. If you don't prepare bed linens in advance, the apartment will also provide them, but the quality is generally just okay. The surrounding environment is very quiet.
LIU**
Having a washing machine is a plus, and there's a 24-hour front desk.
DENG**
It's a bit far away, but very quiet.
YU**
The room is quite nice!!!
TIAN**
The service is good, and it can collect packages.
WANG**
The surrounding area is very quiet, the environmental facilities are OK, and it is also very close to the school and the surrounding supermarkets.
GAO**
The elevator runs well. The area around the apartment is very quiet. The internet speed is just a little less than optimal. One of the best things about the apartment is that sometimes the staff will deliver packages to the door.

Beechenhurst House is a high-end Birmingham student accommodation offering only large Studio room types that accept double occupancy. The neighbourhood of the flats is peaceful and tree-lined, making it perfect for studying and living. The rooms offer essential furniture, amenities, and individual washing machines for convenience and hygiene. Beechenhurst House is just across the road from the University of Birmingham and within walking distance. And professional security facilities and staff will keep students safe.
Features
Beechenhurst House has only 64 rooms, but all are high-end Studio rooms, some allowing double occupancy. The large rooms range from 28 square to 35 square metres, providing students with a comfortable living experience. The flats have basic amenities such as an induction cooker, oven, microwave, fridge, TV, towels, iron, kettle, hangers, kitchen utensils, etc. The flats are also equipped with a separate washing machine, which is very convenient and hygienic.
The communal areas of Beechenhurst House are small compared to the rooms where students live. However, there is also a cosy and welcoming lounge, which provides a space for students to interact with each other. And the GameRoom even provides the option to relax and have fun with friends.
Location and What's Hot?
Beechenhurst House is located on the south side of the University of Birmingham, 15 minutes by bus from Selly Oak Shopping Park. It is home to a wide range of British brands, with restaurants such as Gourmet Burger Kitchen, The Restaurant Hub and Nando's, and after-dinner shopping options at Currys, TKMaxx, GAME and Argos. Sainsbury's is also located here and is a great place to shop for groceries. For nature lovers, Elmdon Road Cricket, GroundHolders Lane Playing Fields and Selly Park Recreation Ground are sure to be frequented parks.
Transport
Beechenhurst House is situated opposite the University of Birmingham and is within a 10-minute walk of the campus grounds. Aston University, Birmingham Metropolitan College Matthew Boulton Campus, and Birmingham City University are all further away and take 27 minutes to reach by public transport. Newman University and University College Birmingham are about 14 minutes away by car. It is a 12-minute bus journey to Selly Oak train station for other cities.
Security & Services
A 24-hour electronic access control system and video surveillance system will keep students safe at all times. External visitors need to pass through multiple electronic gates to enter the hostel. In addition, the accommodation is equipped with its independent equipment maintenance team. After moving in, any problems with the facilities can be reported directly to the front desk, and they will be the first time for you to repair. It is worth mentioning that the flats also offer a house cleaning service for a fee.

It can also be that the sound insulation is very poor. The radiator will always turn off by itself if it doesn't work for a long time.

The worst student apartment in all of the UK! Poor soundproofing! The front desk service is terrible! Delayed move-in for two months, and there are still no curtains after moving in. The fire alarm goes off automatically for no reason! The description of the apartment is seriously misleading compared to reality! Don't even live here if they pay you!!!
