I’m absolutely furious. I rented both a short-term and a long-term unit, and the last day of the short-term lease was supposed to be the first day of the long-term lease. But the apartment front desk told me that the long-term room hadn’t been cleaned yet, so I couldn’t move in and could only stay in my short-term room. I asked how long I would have to wait, and the front desk staff said until next Tuesday (today is Saturday, which means I have to wait at least three more days). I had even registered on the apartment’s official website account very early on and booked my move-in for the 5th, the first day of the long-term lease. I had also completed the online check-in. When I previously paid the extra fee to cover the gap between the short-term and long-term leases, a staff member also told me that I could move into the long-term room on the 5th. The short-term room was something I rented earlier just to store cardboard boxes and luggage. I had all kinds of large and small boxes and had no intention of unpacking them, planning to unpack everything after moving into the long-term room. Now, I’ve just landed in Birmingham, and if I stay in the short-term room, I can’t carry on with my daily life at all. The apartment has failed in its duties, yet there are no measures whatsoever to make up for the time and effort this is costing me—not even an apology! I had originally planned to move on the 5th and then leave Birmingham, but now all my plans have been completely disrupted because of this apartment, Vita! I contacted the staff on uhomes.com, and they just passed the buck. At first, they said no one was replying to her, and later they said uhomes.com couldn’t contact Vita and that I had to contact them myself. OK, so I contacted them myself and chased them myself, but the Vita staff still said there was nothing they could do and that I just had to wait. They did absolutely nothing, and the tenant is the only one bearing all the consequences! Also, the advertised free personal training is not available now either—you have to wait again, at least two weeks before you can book it (the staff said this themselves). The free medical service does not exist! Don’t book! Avoid this place!

The environment is very nice, the room is larger than expected, the service is great, and there is someone at the apartment front desk 24 hours a day.
