Built in 2022

Northgate House is a popular student accommodation in Derby, located near the city centre and offering 166 beds. Offering affordable En-suite rooms and self-contained Studio rooms to suit a variety of student choices, it is ideally situated for students with a large selection of supermarkets, restaurants, bars and entertainment facilities in the surrounding area. And there are plenty of bus stops around for quick access to the University of Derby and Derby College.

Features

Northgate House Derby offers 166 rooms in 5 En-suite and 3 Studio room types. All rooms come with en-suite bathrooms and bedrooms and offer a variety of furniture and amenities. The En-suite requires 5 to 9 students to share the living room and kitchen. The Studio rooms offer a completely separate kitchen and living area. Kitchen appliances include a hob, microwave, oven and fridge, and all students have space to store their belongings.

Within the communal areas of the student flats, this apartment has a spacious Lounge for students to socialise in. Students who need a quiet space can take their revision seriously in the study room. In addition, a dance studio and cinema room, which are not commonly found in student flats, are why Northgate House has become one of the most highly-rated flats in Derby.

Location and What's Hot?

Located on Agard St, Northgate House Derby is close to the city centre, with numerous British supermarket chains within walking distance. Sainsbury's, Lidl and Co-op Food can all be reached within 10 minutes. If you're not a good cook, don't worry; Nico's, Trattoria LALIS and Modern Cuisine are all just a few minutes away. And for those who like to drink, The Greyhound, The Last Post and Golden Eagle pub will be your regular haunts.

Living at Derby student accommodation is great for nature and history lovers; Markeaton Recreation Ground and Cathedral Green are 13 minutes away from the student flats and offer open lawns and walking routes, making them well-regarded parks in the area. With Pickford's House and Derby Museum & Art Gallery on the doorstep of the flats, students can get a better understanding of local history and culture.

Transport

Northgate House is just downstairs from the Agard Street bus stop, a 9-minute bus ride to the University of Derby. Derby College is just a 6-minute walk east. For travelling to other cities, Derby train station is a 15-minute bus ride away.

Security & Services

Northgate House is equipped with a CCTV system and access control to provide a safe and secure living environment for students. There is also a security officer on duty at reception, and outsiders are required to register before entering. If students find any damage to the facilities, the flats will arrange for repairs to be carried out free of charge.
