We cannot guarantee that we will find other tenants, as it becomes increasingly difficult as the academic year progresses. After living here for a full year, I’d like to share my real experience at West View. Overall, it’s a student apartment with good value for money. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the University of Glasgow main campus, with Lidl right downstairs, and Morrisons and Kelvinhall subway station are also very close, making grocery shopping and daily commuting very convenient. The room has plenty of storage space, and the heating is strong enough that it doesn’t get cold indoors in winter. All bills are included in the rent, so there’s nothing extra to worry about. One minor downside is that rooms facing the railway side can occasionally hear trains passing by, and the soundproofing is average. The front desk responds fairly quickly, and most maintenance requests are handled within one or two days. The parcel storage system is also quite reliable. The shared study room and laundry room are sufficient for daily use. It’s suitable for long-term postgraduate living, and I’d highly recommend it for those with a moderate budget. Just try to avoid rooms facing the railway tracks when choosing a room, or go for a higher floor, which will be much quieter.

West View offers an excellent overall living experience. The rooms are fully equipped with complete facilities and plenty of storage space. The internet is stable and smooth, more than sufficient for daily online classes, browsing, and writing papers. The sound insulation is very good, making it quiet and comfortable for rest. The apartment is in a great location, within walking distance of the University of Glasgow campus. There are supermarkets and restaurants downstairs, as well as a Chinese-speaking front desk, making it a very reassuring place to live while studying abroad.

The front desk staff is particularly enthusiastic and will offer assistance in a timely manner. Packages are stored at the front desk, and when the apartment receives them, a QR code will be sent via email. You need to present the QR code to the front desk staff in order to pick up your package, which prevents the situation of picking up the wrong package or losing packages. Every morning, there is a cleaning lady who tidies up every part of the apartment, so the entire place is very clean. There is a supermarket downstairs, and Chinese supermarkets and Chinese restaurants are very close by. It’s also an easy walk to Adam Smith Business School. The front desk staff were very friendly, and there were also Chinese-speaking staff, making communication very easy. The apartment also organizes small activities from time to time, so daily life there was both comfortable and convenient.

Overall, it’s great—a very safe, convenient, and clean apartment. It’s very close to the supermarket and train station, and also very close to the school.
