Student Accommodation in Middlesbrough

Student accommodation in Middlesbrough includes en-suite rooms, non-en-suite rooms, studios, one-bedroom apartments, two-bedroom apartments, shared flats and accessible rooms. When comparing types of student properties, the main differences to consider are whether you have a private bathroom, how much living space you need and whether the kitchen or living area is shared.

En-suite Rooms

• What you get: A private bedroom and bathroom, with a shared kitchen and usually a shared living area.
• Best for: Students who want their own bathroom but are happy to share communal spaces with flatmates.

En-suite rooms are a common choice for students who want more privacy without living completely alone. You have your own bedroom and bathroom, while the shared kitchen gives you a space to cook and socialise with other students.

Non-en-suite Rooms

• What you get: A private bedroom with a shared bathroom, kitchen and living area.
• Best for: Students who want to keep their rent lower and do not mind sharing a bathroom.

Non-en-suite rooms can be a practical option when comparing affordable student rooms in Middlesbrough. The shared facilities mean you have less private space than an en-suite, but you can still have your own bedroom within a shared flat.

Studio Apartments

• What you get: A private bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or kitchenette and living space within one self-contained unit.
• Best for: Students who want maximum privacy and prefer not to share their main living spaces.

Middlesbrough student studios give you your own cooking and living space as well as a private bathroom. It is a suitable choice for students who prefer independent living and want everything within one private unit.

One-bedroom Apartments

• What you get: A separate bedroom, private bathroom, kitchen and living area.
• Best for: Students who want more space and a separate bedroom and living area, including couples where dual occupancy is permitted.

One-bedroom apartments in Middlesbrough have a different layout from studios, with the bedroom separated from the main living space. This can give students more room to relax, study or entertain guests within their own flat.

Two-bedroom Apartments

• What you get: Two private bedrooms with shared kitchen, bathroom and living areas within the same apartment.
• Best for: Two students who want to live together while keeping separate bedrooms.

Two-bedroom apartments in  Middlesbrough suit friends or couples who want to share the main living spaces without sharing a bedroom.

Shared Apartments

• What you get: Multiple private bedrooms within one apartment, with a shared kitchen and living area. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms varies by property.
• Best for: Students who want to live with friends or meet other students while keeping their own bedroom.

Accessible Rooms

• What you get: Adapted accommodation with features such as step-free access, accessible bathrooms, wider spaces or adapted fixtures, depending on the property.
