Prospect Point is a well-presented and modern student accommodation in Liverpool. The fashion and stylish flats have won several awards, such as Best Value For Money Accommodation and International Accommodation Quality Mark. The flats are well-equipped and secured, with a communal lounge where students can relax, make friends and settle into life at Prospect Point. Ideally located just an eight-minute walk to the University of Liverpool and a 14-minute walk to Liverpool John Moores University, Prospect Point flats are the perfect choice of accommodation for Liverpool students.

 

Features

Prospect Point Apartments first opened for bookings in 2006 and were refurbished in 2015. The flats have a total of 636 beds and offer a choice of two different En-suite and three Studios rooms. The rooms are furnished with beds, tables, chairs, wardrobes, heating, etc., and students can enjoy en-suite bathrooms. The flats also provide common areas such as a gym, cinema, 24-hour laundry, and bike storage area for students' use.

 

The complete facilities, convenient living conditions, comfortable environment and high-quality flat management services have been unanimously praised by tenants, and the super cost-effective Liverpool University accommodation has also made many tenants renew their lease. In addition, the rent of the flats is included in the bill, so students don't need to pay for water, electricity, heating and other costs.

 

Location and What's Hot

Prospect Point flats are on the northern edge of the University of Liverpool, close to the city centre. It is a convenient location for daily shopping, with Tesco just 7 or 8 minutes walk away. 

The halls of residence are surrounded by coffee shops, pizzerias and the major hospital The Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

 

Liverpool Prospect Point is close to a cafeteria and Food Express, with a Starbucks on the corner. The city centre is a 10-minute walk away, with several Chinese restaurants, entertainment venues, shops and various shopping centres. Liverpool One, in particular, is close by with great food and an IMAX cinema. The city centre is also home to Almost Famous, Gusto and the one Michelin-starred restaurant, The Art School, a food lovers paradise. The Liverpool Empire and Royal Court Theatre are a 15-minute walk from the flat. Walker Art Gallery and The World Museum are close to the flat.

 

Transport

Prospect Point is conveniently located 7-8 minutes to the University of Liverpool Campus, 30 minutes walk to the School of Management, Engineering and Architecture, 14 minutes walk to Liverpool John Moores University, 25 minutes walk to Chinatown, 25 minutes walk to Liverpool One shopping centre, 5 minutes walk to the bus station, 5 minutes walk to the train station. Liverpool Lime Street Train Station is a 10-minute walk away, making it easy for students to get around.

The flats are fully equipped with laundries parking and 24 hour security. The reception desk can collect deliveries and notify students via the MyUnite app to come down and pick them up.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

No Visa No Pay (NVNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking has their visa application rejected, the student can provide evidence of the refusal and the booking will get cancelled with no liability.
b.For the evidence at 7(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.Students can only cancel under 7(a) above, and under the NVNP policy, if they have applied for a visa and can evidence this. Students who haven't got a visa because they haven't applied for one are not eligible for the NVNP cancellation policy.

No Place No Pay

No Place No Pay (NPNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking for a room is not accepted at a university in the city where they have booked a room with us, the student is able to cancel their room outside of the cooling-off period without the need for a replacement tenant provided they are able to provide evidence that they have not met the requirements for their offer or have been rejected by the university for some other reason.
b.For the evidence at 6(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.We reserve the right to check with the university if the evidence is genuine or fake. Providing fake / photoshopped documents is forgery and is an offense punishable by law in the UK.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

3 days to accept the offer+ 7 days cooling-off period
Once a booking is processed, the student has 3 days to accept the offer. It means for the student and the guarantor to accept the contract and pay the £250 advance rent payment. (For bookings in England only. No Advance Rent Payment is required for bookings in Scotland).

Once these steps are done, the booking is completed.
If one of the step is not completed within these 3 days, the offer will expire.
If the student still wants a room, we can re-process a booking, but we cannot guarantee that the same room or the same price will be available.
Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.

Details

Making a Booking

International cancellation provisions
These additional cancellation provisions apply for any individual making a booking outside of the United Kingdom.
1.Cooling Off Period – the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply;
2.After the Cooling Off Period - Once the Cooling Off Period has expired the Tenant remains liable for the rent for the whole length of the tenancy unless they want to cancel with one of these 3 conditions:
-No Place No Pay: the provisions for No Place No Pay set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply, save that this option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No Visa No Pay:if the student doesn’t get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No ATAS certificate, No Pay: Some international students coming to the UK to study in very specific fields need to apply for an ATAS certificate. (Academic Technology Approval Scheme). If a student’s ATAS certificate application is rejected the student must send us the ATAS certificate application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite Students and must be sent to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
If an agent is involved the evidence must be sent to the agent and then forwarded on to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
3. Replacement Tenants - the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply. Please note the point that Unite Students is under no obligation to enter into a Tenancy Agreement with any replacement Tenant that is suggested under this provision.
Passed the 31st August, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
The student remains liable for the rent unless they find a replacement Tenant.
