Can I choose the room in Prospect Point that I like?

How can I find out who I will be living with?

For privacy reasons, we do not disclose the names of residents, but you can find out who you will be living with by checking the resident group shared before your arrival or by asking your dorm team for some information, such as gender, grade, and school.

About two months before your check-in date selected during your reservation, you can schedule a move-in time that works for you. If you have any special accessibility needs or travel-related issues, please let us know at this time. If you need to check in early, we can also help arrange that; just contact your dorm team, and they will inform you of the available times and prices.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Unlike many other accommodation providers, we don't require a deposit to secure your booking. We only ask that you pay the rent in advance, which will be deducted from your first rent payment. You could say it's like a little gift to yourself, and by September, you'll appreciate its convenience!

Can I cancel after booking?

We have a 5-day "cooling off" policy. This means that if you need to cancel within 5 days of signing the rental agreement and have not yet moved in, you can cancel. If the "cooling off" period has passed, you can still cancel under certain circumstances, such as if your UK visa is denied or if you fail to meet the admission requirements of your chosen university. You just need to provide the UCAS notification or visa refusal documents within 72 hours of receiving the relevant notice. If you find a suitable replacement tenant, you can transfer the lease to them, and we will conduct a qualification check. Once they are confirmed qualified, they can take over your rental agreement.

What should I do if I have special requirements?

We offer permanent accessible rooms that meet your needs, as well as temporary adjustable adaptive rooms. If you need more information, please contact the dormitory team directly.

What should I do if my student loan is late?

If your student loan payment is late, please contact the housing team at your location for advice.

How do I pay my rent?

You can make payments by logging into the Concurrent Portal (using your reference number and password). Payment methods include direct debit or bank transfer.

As an international student, how should I pay my rent?

As an international student, you can pay your rent via bank transfer (Transfermate) or credit card (please note that credit card payments may incur transaction fees). For more information, please refer to your booking documents or contact the accommodation team.

While we love pets, we regret to inform you that pets are not allowed in the accommodation area, except for registered service animals.

Does my room include bedding and other essentials?

Our room is a blank canvas, and you can arrange it according to your needs. If you need bedding or kitchen supplies, we partner with unikitout.com, where you can purchase the items you need directly, delivered to your door. Use the code NOW10 for a 10% discount.

Can I have my friend stay in my room?

You can invite friends to stay, but each resident can only have one overnight guest at a time, and they cannot stay for more than two consecutive nights. This is provided that these activities do not cause disturbance or disruption to other residents.

Will my apartment be cleaned?

When you arrive, we will ensure that your student room and shared areas are spotless. After that, the cleaning will be your responsibility. If you need any assistance, please feel free to contact the accommodation team.

What should I do if there is a problem with my room?

If your room needs maintenance, you can submit a repair request through the Concurrent App, and the accommodation team will address your issue as soon as possible.

Can I smoke in the dormitory?

All our student accommodation areas are smoke-free. You can smoke outside the building or in designated smoking areas in the courtyard.

How do I connect to the internet?

Connecting to the internet is easy: once you arrive, you just need to connect your device to the wireless network. If needed, you can also use an Ethernet cable to connect your device to the network wall socket in the room.

What are the things I cannot do while staying at the accommodation?

For health and safety reasons, we do not allow the use of candles, aroma lamps, deep fryers, or any electrical appliances that do not comply with UK standards and regulations. We also do not permit electric scooters or similar devices. Please do not bring these items into the dormitory.

Who will enter my room?

We conduct room inspections three times a year and perform health and safety checks periodically, but we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance.

What are the dimensions of my small double bed?

A small double bed (also known as a 3/4 bed) is approximately 120 cm wide and 190 cm long.

Can I bring a rice cooker or electric pressure cooker?

Sorry, we do not allow rice cookers or electric pressure cookers as their high voltage may pose safety risks.

Is there an airport pick-up service?

We do not provide airport pickup services, but our dormitory location has good transportation connections, making it easy for you to take a bus, train, or taxi. If you need help arranging transportation, feel free to contact the accommodation team.

What should I do if I need to leave before the end of the rental period?

If you need to leave early, we may offer lease takeover options. It's best to contact the accommodation team directly for the latest information.

Can I receive a parcel?

Depending on your location, your mail may be delivered directly to your doorstep (via Royal Mail), or you may need to collect it from a nearby mailbox. For larger packages, they can be delivered to the reception, but we cannot take responsibility for any lost or damaged packages.

Can I/my friends park in the dormitory?

Most of our dormitory buildings do not have dedicated visitor parking, but there are parking lots in the surrounding area. Please contact the team at your chosen accommodation for more information about parking.

All dormitory buildings have self-service laundry rooms equipped with washers and dryers. You can pay per use for these facilities through an app.
