Horizon Heights is a premier student accommodation in Liverpool, offering a wide range of Studios and En-suite rooms. You are ideally located on the Liverpool Knowledge Park, a 10-minute walk from the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores Campus. Horizon Heights is 20 floors high. From the 11th floor of the flats, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Wirral Peninsula and the Welsh hill cities. Surrounded by art galleries, shopping centres and more, you can enjoy the high-end services and amenities of Liverpool.

 

Features 

Horizon Heights offers 5 En-suite and 9 Studio room types, with en-suite bathrooms in the En-suite and Studio rooms and open-plan kitchens in the Studio rooms. Prices vary depending on the size of the room. All rooms are built with the student's comfort in mind and are bright and spacious, equipped with all infrastructure. The dormitory rent includes all expenses, including high-speed WIFI, financial insurance, water, electricity and gas.

 

You can use the Wi-Fi, collect all the information and complete your assignments. You can also invite your friends to discuss topics and revise for exams together in the study area. There is also a spacious standard room on the 18th floor and a free gym, so those who like to work out can't miss this place. Besides, There is a bi-weekly cleaning service to save you the hassle.

 

Location and What's Hot?

Horizon Heights is located in the heart of Liverpool city centre, with Liverpool's world-class museums and galleries just a few streets away. The halls of residence are surrounded by a wide range of amenities, including the convenience store PRM News & Wine, the discount supermarket Lidl, and fast food outlets such as KFC, Costa Coffee, and Caffe Nero, and cafes are all close to the residence halls.

 

Students living in Horizon Heights have easy access to shopping, with St Johns Shopping Centre and Clayton Square just a 3-minute walk away, as well as a variety of Chinese restaurants, supermarkets such as ALDI, and discount shops such as Poundland. The hostel is also a 10-minute walk from Chinatown.

 

Transport

The University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University are a 10-minute from Horizon Heights. There is a bus stop just a minute's walk from the residence halls, making it easy for students to commute. Students can get to Liverpool Hope University in 25 minutes by bus. Liverpool Lime Street train station is a one-minute walk away.

 

Security and Service

Horizon Heights has 24-hour security and an independent maintenance team, so if you have any problems with any of the facilities after you have moved in, you can report them directly to the reception desk. The halls of residence will be repaired as soon as possible.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

No Visa No Pay (NVNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking has their visa application rejected, the student can provide evidence of the refusal and the booking will get cancelled with no liability.
b.For the evidence at 7(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.Students can only cancel under 7(a) above, and under the NVNP policy, if they have applied for a visa and can evidence this. Students who haven't got a visa because they haven't applied for one are not eligible for the NVNP cancellation policy.

No Place No Pay

No Place No Pay (NPNP)
a.If the student who has completed their booking for a room is not accepted at a university in the city where they have booked a room with us, the student is able to cancel their room outside of the cooling-off period without the need for a replacement tenant provided they are able to provide evidence that they have not met the requirements for their offer or have been rejected by the university for some other reason.
b.For the evidence at 6(a) above to be valid it must:
i.be submitted within 7 days of the student receiving it;
ii.include the student's name and the date at which it was received;
iii.be received prior to 31 August of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in August or September;
iv.be received prior to 15 January of the Academic Year for those with tenancies starting in December or January.
c.We reserve the right to check with the university if the evidence is genuine or fake. Providing fake / photoshopped documents is forgery and is an offense punishable by law in the UK.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

3 days to accept the offer+ 7 days cooling-off period
Once a booking is processed, the student has 3 days to accept the offer. It means for the student and the guarantor to accept the contract and pay the £250 advance rent payment. (For bookings in England only. No Advance Rent Payment is required for bookings in Scotland).

Once these steps are done, the booking is completed.
If one of the step is not completed within these 3 days, the offer will expire.
If the student still wants a room, we can re-process a booking, but we cannot guarantee that the same room or the same price will be available.
Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.

Details

Making a Booking

International cancellation provisions
These additional cancellation provisions apply for any individual making a booking outside of the United Kingdom.
1.Cooling Off Period – the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply;
2.After the Cooling Off Period - Once the Cooling Off Period has expired the Tenant remains liable for the rent for the whole length of the tenancy unless they want to cancel with one of these 3 conditions:
-No Place No Pay: the provisions for No Place No Pay set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply, save that this option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No Visa No Pay:if the student doesn’t get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
-No ATAS certificate, No Pay: Some international students coming to the UK to study in very specific fields need to apply for an ATAS certificate. (Academic Technology Approval Scheme). If a student’s ATAS certificate application is rejected the student must send us the ATAS certificate application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it. On receipt of the required documentation, it will be verified and, provided we are satisfied, we will cancel your Tenancy Agreement and refund any deposit or advance rent paid in full. This option shall not be available after the 31st August in the year the Tenancy Start Date is due to occur.
The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite Students and must be sent to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
If an agent is involved the evidence must be sent to the agent and then forwarded on to internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com.
3. Replacement Tenants - the provisions for the Cooling Off Period set out in the main Cancellation Policy shall apply. Please note the point that Unite Students is under no obligation to enter into a Tenancy Agreement with any replacement Tenant that is suggested under this provision.
Passed the 31st August, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
The student remains liable for the rent unless they find a replacement Tenant.
