The Forge student flats are available in En-suite and Non-En-suite rooms and have a contemporary interior with fully furnished rooms and fully equipped kitchens with all appliances. The rooms have single beds, study areas and spacious wardrobes. The Forge has a gym, supermarket, computer room, student bar and communal lounge area. In addition, The Forge has high-speed WiFi in all corners of the building so that students can keep up to date with the latest news. The rent includes utilities and insurance so students can move in peacefully.

Location and What's Hot?

The Forge flats are ideally situated for living, with the supermarket Aldi just an 8-minute walk away, ideal for holiday shopping. On weekdays, you can pop into one of the many small convenience stores within a 5-minute walk of the flat and pick up anything you need. There are a number of coffee shops close to the flats, so grab a coffee at Craft Coffee and spend some time alone. At the same time, the Barber On The Green shopping centre has several designer shops and chain restaurants, making it an excellent place for students to shop and relax.

Transport 

The Forge is ideally located at the University of Sunderland, around 20 minutes walk, 11 minutes ride to the University of Sunderland Riverside Campus, or 5 minutes on the 700 bus from John Candlish Road bus station. Sunderland is well served by the Tube, which runs the length of Sunderland in just 12 minutes. Newcastle is only 30 minutes by metro from Sunderland and 59 minutes from Newcastle International Airport.

Security and Service

The Forge student flats are gated and require a card to enter and exit. The flats are also monitored by 24-hour CCTV to ensure the safety of our students. When students are not able to do so, the reception staff can help with courier deliveries, which is a great convenience for students.
