The house is great, and the lake view is excellent. The transportation is very convenient, whether it's the direct bus to the University of Chicago or the route to downtown, you can catch it right downstairs. However, when moving in, the room is empty, so you need to purchase furniture and beds in advance. After getting used to it, I find it to be a very nice apartment.

The old house's biggest drawback is that the elevator often malfunctions, which is really troublesome. The response time for any maintenance issues in the room is also slow, and the internet speed is not great; sometimes I have to switch to mobile data to work properly. The advantage is that the rooms are large, there's plenty of storage space, and the most important thing is the lake view! The lake view is stunning! It takes a 5-minute walk across the sky bridge to reach the lake, which is perfect for running or walking.

The renovated unit is quite nice, the house is big enough with plenty of storage space, but the downside is that the management team is just average.

After moving in, many facilities in the house were broken; the cabinet doors were almost all rotten, the showerhead was also not working, and there is still no internet. They have been trying to fix it for more than a week, but it's still not repaired. The property management response is too slow, and the efficiency is low. It takes a long time to wait for the elevator, and the community security is very poor. This year, someone was killed in the parking lot, and just a few days ago, someone was robbed and shot to death in Hyde Park. Do not rent a house in Hyde Park, especially stay away from MacProperty; it's too much of a scam.
