Once application is approved, the screening is completed and the lease is signed, all parties – including the tenant and the property – are bound by the terms of the lease agreement. Residents do have the option of reletting their bed space by finding another resident to take-over the lease term on their behalf. That individual would need to meet the same qualifying criteria and would sign a new lease with the community, taking the place of the cancelled lease.
