Just down the road from Dundee train station is the V&A Museum, completed in September 2018 and designed by renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. It’s not just the museum itself, but the area around it is also worth a walk, and it’s lovely to take in the views of Dundee from the walkway along the river.
The Discovery is next to the V&A Museum, the last of Britain’s traditional wooden three-masted ships built for Antarctic research. Launched in 1901, the RRS Discovery carried ammunition to Russia during the First World War.
