Alexandra Hall is a great student accommodation in Aberystwyth. This city is a scenic holiday destination and owns the old and excellent Aberystwyth University. Alexandra Hall has a wide range of room options, good infrastructure, and welcoming reception staff. Most of the rooms in the flat have stunning sea views, enhancing the living experience. The flats are designed with student needs in mind, offering both Non En-suite and En-suite options to cater to various preferences. Conveniently located within walking distance of the contemporary town centre business district, the flats also reside amidst historic landmarks, blending modernity with a touch of history.
Features:
Alexandra Hall has two types of rooms: non en-suite and en-suite. If you want to book an en suite, we have six options. All have a bedroom with a private bathroom, a small double bed and a shared kitchen. There are five non-en-suite options, all with a shared kitchen and bathroom. The difference is in the size of the bed and the size of the flat. The ensuite offers more privacy and ease of living, with direct access to the bathroom at all times. There is no need to wait for bathroom availability, saving time and allowing for a more efficient daily routine. Non-ensuite is suitable for those who prefer group living, as the kitchen and bathroom are shared, and if you are on a budget, non-ensuite can be a good choice. The largest en-suite is the Gold Double Room, with a double bed on 18 square metres. Alexandra Hall offers communal laundry and a lounge, and the flats have basic amenities such as round-the-clock surveillance and WiFi. The rent includes all utilities such as gas, heating, water, and indoor property insurance.
Location and What's Hot?
Alexandra Hall enjoys a prime location. The neighbourhood of the flat is very convenient; there are many good restaurants nearby, all within walking distance ranging from a few minutes to ten minutes, such as Neats, which provides Mediterranean cuisine, and you can see the sea when you are eating. You can also try Baravin, another Mediterranean restaurant that serves amazing seafood. Little Italy has traditional Italian cuisine, such as pasta with tomato sauce and so on. The nearest pub, the Glengower, with its menu having normal meal options and more traditional Sunday lunches, is only 0.4 miles away. A few minutes walk away is the bar scene, where you can choose from Angel Inn, White Horse (the service here is very welcoming; breakfast is served, and steak and chicken wrap are their signatures), Bank Vault, etc. It's worth mentioning that Angel Inn is a pet-friendly pub where you can meet cute dogs, and, of course, you can bring your pup in for a drink! Bank Vault has live music every night. It's not a big place but has a great atmosphere and local beers. If you feel unwell, the Bronglais Hospital is within a mile, and if you want to go out for a walk, the Parc Natur Penglais Nature Reserve, 0.5 miles outside the flat, is a great choice. The nearby Tan y bwlch beach can be reached in 10 minutes by bike.
Transport:
Alexandra Hall is ideally located north of Aberystwyth. It's a 15-minute walk to Aberystwyth Railways station, a 30-minute walk to Aberystwyth University, Penglais Campus (22 minutes by bus and 16 minutes by bike)—getting around here by bike is the easiest, and a 27-minute walk to the National Library of Wales (26 minutes by bus). You can also choose to ride a bike, which only takes 9 minutes.
Security and Services:
Security and services at Alexandra Hall are exceptional. External visitors must pass through multiple electronic gates to enter the hostel, which is equipped with an independent equipment maintenance team. Beyond its convenient location, Alexandra Hall has free lounges, creating a balanced environment for both productivity and relaxation. Residents also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, an entry-key fob system, CCTV surveillance, and attentive staff available 24/7, ensuring students a seamless and comfortable living experience.
