Queen's Park House is ideally located on Queens road and is convenient for both the Coventry University campus and the city centre. A bus stop is just a 3-minute walk away and directly to The University of Warwick. Close to the city center and IKEA, all kinds of shopping malls and supermarkets are within easy reach. Living here will be very convenient. En-suite (each accommodating 3-6 people) and Studio rooms with plenty of storage space are available for students to rent at affordable prices.

 

Residence facilities

Queen's Park House offers students a variety of en-suite (private bathroom, shared kitchen) and studio (private bathroom, private kitchen) rooms, with a kitchen equipped with a fridge, microwave and other kitchenware. Bathroom facilities are also of the highest standard. A common area with table tennis and pool table, sofas and flat screen TV is available on the ground floor.

The dormitory rent includes all costs such as high speed WIFI, financial insurance, water, electricity and gas.

In addition, there is a communal laundry room (for a separate fee), a bicycle parking area where you can store your folding bikes, and a spacious and comfortable study room and lounge for students to use free of charge at all times.

 

Location

Queen's Park House is ideally located within walking distance of Coventry University. There is a bus service from City College station, a three-minute walk to the residence. Coventry train station is about 10 minutes walk away and there is a direct bus service to Warwick University.

Surrounding life

Queen's Park House is surrounded by a very busy area with a variety of cuisines, Asian and European restaurants across Upper York Street and Queen's Rd, and a convenience store, Nisa Local, next to the restaurant. There is also a wide range of Western food, Japanese food at SHIN Japanese Bar & Kitchen and a cafeteria at Cosmo, and a park at Greyfriars Green within a five-minute walk.

There is also an ice skating rink, Planet Ice, Odeon cinema, IKEA, Argos, Sally, Belgrade Theatre, Coventry Cathedral and Holy Trinity Cathedral, O2 telecoms, banks such as Lloyds Bank and Barclays Bank. There are plenty of places to visit in Coventry, so you don't have to worry about having nowhere to go on weekends.

 

Security and services

The flats have electronic access control, CCTV video surveillance and barrier-free access. The flats have their own team who are always on hand to help students with any problems and are proactive in asking questions about their needs. The flats are also covered by a superfast internet connection, which students can use for free. The dormitory rent includes all costs such as: high speed WIFI, water, electricity, heating etc.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

3 days to accept the offer+ 7 days cooling-off period
Once a booking is processed, the student has 3 days to accept the offer. It means for the student and the guarantor to accept the contract and pay the £250 advance rent payment. (For bookings in England only. No Advance Rent Payment is required for bookings in Scotland).

Once these steps are done, the booking is completed.
If one of the step is not completed within these 3 days, the offer will expire.
If the student still wants a room, we can re-process a booking, but we cannot guarantee that the same room or the same price will be available.
Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.
NVNP and NPNP cancellation policies are available until September 15, 2023.

No Visa No Pay

If the student doesn’t get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it and we will cancel the booking and refund the money to the student. This policy is valid until the 15th September,2023.

No Place No Pay

If the student fails their exams or is rejected by the UK University, the student needs to send us the university rejection letter, or proof that the exam results don’t meet the requirements of the university, and we will cancel the booking and refund the money to the student. The student must send us the proof documents within 7 days of receiving them. This policy is valid until the 15th September,2023.

The booking

Once the booking is completed, the student has another 7 days to change their mind and cancel their booking without any reasons. This is called the cooling-off period.

Past these 7 days, the student remains liable for the rent for the whole length of the tenancy unless:

Replacement tenant found: if the student finds a replacement tenant to take over his room with the same tenancy length and we can process the booking for the new student, and once the offer has been accepted by the new student and his guarantor, and that they have paid the £250 (if applicable), we will release the original student from their contract.
Passed the 15th September,2022, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
The student remains liable for the rent unless they find a replacement.

The booking

No ATAS certificate, No Pay: Some international students coming to the UK to study in very specific fields need to apply for an ATAS certificate. (Academic Technology Approval Scheme). If a student’s ATAS certificate application is rejected we will cancel the booking and refund the money to the student. The student must send us the ATAS certificate application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it and we will cancel the booking and refund the money to the student. This policy is valid until the 15th September,2023.
The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite.

The email must be sent either from the student to the agent, and then the agent contacts our teams. Or the student can directly email internationalcancellations@unitestudents.com

Replacement tenant found: if the student finds a replacement tenant to take over his room with the same tenancy length and same weekly rate, we can process the booking for the new student, and once the offer has been accepted by the new student and his guarantor, and that they have paid the £250 (if applicable), we will release the original student from their contract.

Passed the 15th September,2023, the No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay do not apply.
