So far, I’m still in the process of inspecting the apartment, and overall it feels very good. Of course, there are also some design concepts that are a bit hard to understand, such as the range hood filtering the air and then sending it back indoors, before it is finally exhausted through the vent by the ceiling. I haven’t tested the actual effect yet. The entire CH team has been very proactive in communicating with me so far, but I’m not yet familiar with the whole CH community, so I don’t know much about the specific activities or common areas. The location is OK—Tesco Extra is 11 minutes away by bus plus walking. It’s about the same distance to the city center; walking and taking public transport take roughly the same amount of time. Taking the bus takes time mainly because you need to wait for it, but if you time it well, you can get there in just a few minutes. There are quite a few bus stops nearby, but depending on your destination, even the nearest one is around 400 meters away. The community has access control, the apartment building has access control, and my own room also has access control, so the safety level is still quite high. If you need anything, you can first ask the reception staff for help. When you move in, they also provide some materials mentioning what activities are available, as well as the use and locations of indoor and community facilities. The room is well maintained and has no strange odor. Mine has floor-to-ceiling windows, so the natural lighting is also very good.
Overall, Chapel Heights is one of the better student accommodations in Durham. The dishwasher is very convenient, the soundproofing is quite good, and the reception staff are also very friendly and easy to reach. It is also the only apartment in Durham with a dishwasher. If you are a business student, I highly recommend living here. It is a 10–15 minute walk from the new business school and the city center. The only inconvenience may be that there are no supermarkets nearby, so you need to walk to the city center or EP for shopping.
The apartment was nice, but there was chewing gum stuck to the window. The refrigerator was awful—either it was so cold that it froze everything solid, or it didn’t cool at all and spoiled the food. The refrigerator was extremely small, and it was very far from the bus stop.
Good, tidy, convenient, friendly front desk attitude, staffed 24 hours Internet speed: Fast Facilities: New and complete Soundproofing: Good Hygiene: Clean and tidy Location: 15 minutes walk from the city center
The facilities are complete, with a dishwasher that frees up your hands. The soundproofing is quite good, but the corridor is not soundproof. The internet speed is very fast, but the fire alarm is very sensitive. The front desk staff are all friendly, and in the year I've lived here, no packages have been lost. The location is a bit far from the old market, but there's a bus station a ten-minute walk away, which allows you to take a bus there.
It was okay, but the price was a bit high. The room was 30 square meters. The curtains in my room did not fully block the view, so you could see outside, which made it feel a little lacking in privacy.
Very good. All the services at CHAPEL HEIGHTS are also excellent, and the customer service is especially reliable! They reply to messages very quickly, have a great attitude, and can basically respond to all questions.
It's okay; the apartment is quite spacious, and the front desk is open 24 hours, so you can find someone anytime.
Very good, the room is large, the security is good, the surrounding environment is nice, and it's convenient to go to school.
Access control is完善, the network is stable, the rooms are tidy, and the overall living experience is quite good.

Overall, Chapel Heights is one of the better student accommodations in Durham. The dishwasher is very convenient, the soundproofing is quite good, and the reception staff are also very friendly and easy to reach. It is also the only apartment in Durham with a dishwasher. The only inconvenience may be that there are no supermarkets nearby, so you need to walk to the city center or EP for shopping.
