The Terry Frost Building is a brand new student accommodation in Leeds, offering both ensuite and studio apartments, located on the east side of the University of Leeds, in the city centre area, just a 20-minute walk to the University of Leeds Campus, a 15-minute walk to Leeds Beckett University, and a 12-minute walk to Leeds College of Music. There is a good choice of restaurants in the neighborhood, a home appliance store and clothing store just a short walk from the flat, an ALDI convenience store 2 minutes east and an Azaban Supermarket 3 minutes north.

 

Flat Amenities:

The Terry Frost Building offers a variety of room types for students with different budget requirements. Among them, Ensuite is also available in different sizes, with shared kitchen for 4-8 people; Studio is up to 6F. There are about 410 rooms in total, each of which has been carefully designed with amenities such as study desks, chairs, en-suite bathrooms, wardrobes, and plenty of storage space. There are also some room types with accessible facilities.

 

The communal areas of the apartment include a lounge, study area and a large gym, a large designated meeting area, and you can also enjoy a cup of coffee in the coffee bar. There is also a public art gallery and sound area on the ground floor of the flats, run by local non-profit organisation East St Arts, where local artists display their artwork. Ascend to 6F via the lift to reserve use of the flat's cinema room, private dining area and games room. The terrace area has a large garden to soak up the floral views on sunny days.

 

The flat has a cinema room on the 6th floor as well as a play area. There is even a rooftop terrace with a garden, perfect for relaxing in warm weather. The flat also offers laundry facilities, a secure bike storage and some available parking.

 

Location:

The Terry Frost Building is located in the Leeds city centre, just 15-20mins from Leeds Beckett University and the University of Leeds campus, and just 12mins from Leeds College of Music.

Neighbourhood:

The Terry Frost Building is located in the downtown area and is very convenient for living in the surrounding area. Το Homeboy Pizza Co and The Brunswick restaurant. Walk along Whitelock St to the junction, then walk a southbound junction along Regent St to the ALDI convenience store, which takes only 3 minutes in total. Azaban Supermarket is just a few metres north, and Crown Buffet Chinese Restaurant is just a 5-minute walk south along Regent St. There are clothing stores and shopping malls in the vicinity of the flats to cater to students' shopping needs.

 

Security and Services:

The apartment takes the safety of students very seriously, and all those staying in the flats are university students. Security and 24-hour CCTV surveillance are provided, along with a management and maintenance team, which makes it easy to fix minor faults within the property. At the same time, the apartment is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi and broadband connections, which are free of charge for all students. Water, electricity, internet, telltale WiFi and heating are included in the rent paid.

Cancellation Policy

No Visa No Pay

Prospective international students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Institution in any of the cities in which Homes for Students operates, and who book a room with Homes for Students, will be allowed to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if they do not receive the entry Visa they require for their study in the UK and evidence is provided.

Only new customers who have never lived at a Homes for Students property are eligible.

If a customer does not receive the entry Visa they require for their study in the UK and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Homes for Students with evidence of their refusal of entry to the UK to study no later than 7 days after notification of their refusal.

Evidence can be a copy of the letter from the Home Office, UK Visas and Immigration service or other official Visa issuing body as well as a letter from the university, sponsor or institution where they were supposed to be studying. It must clearly show the student’s full name, address and date of issue. This can be emailed to salesenquiries@wearehomesforstudents.com or posted to Homes for Students, 3 Clock Tower Park, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool, L10 1LD.
Customers who do not apply to be released from their Tenancy Agreement within this timescale will be bound by the terms and conditions set out in the Tenancy Agreement.

No Place No Pay

Prospective first year students who have applied to attend a University or a Higher Education Institution in any of the cities in which Homes for Students operates, and who book a room with Homes for Students, will be allowed to be released from their Tenancy Agreement if, as a result of not achieving the required A-Level, Scottish Higher (or equivalent) results, they do not gain a place at their chosen university and evidence is provided.

Only new customers who have never lived at a Homes for Students property are eligible.

If a customer does not gain a place at their chosen University or College and wishes to be released from their Tenancy Agreement, they must provide Homes for Students with evidence of their rejection and evidence of the reason why (proof of results achieved etc) no later than 3 working days after their results day.

Evidence can be a written rejection letter from the University/College/UCAS, or a screen shot of the customer’s UCAS status along with the results etc. This can be emailed to salesenquiries@wearehomesforstudents.com or posted to Homes for Students, Clock Tower Park, Longmoor Lane, Fazakerley, Liverpool, L10 1LD.

Customers who do not apply to be released from their Tenancy Agreement within this timescale and provide the correct evidence will be bound by the terms and conditions set out in the Tenancy Agreement.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

You can cancel your tenancy agreement for up to 14 days after the date of your booking (the Initial Cancellation Period). For bookings made from 1st August to 30th September ahead of the academic year the booking is for, the Initial Cancellation Period reduces to 7 days. We will refund the full security deposit.

Please note, £20 will be deducted from the refunded amount to cover any international bank charges for deposit refunds made to non-UK banks.

If you cancel your booking after the Initial Cancellation Period, you remain liable for the weekly rent (for each and every week or part week) until you are able to find another tenant that is acceptable to Homes for Students and we are able to re-let the room. The replacement tenant must be over the age of 18 and have the necessary student status (it is your responsibility to find another tenant and provide them with the correction information). If you find a suitable replacement tenant and the room is re-let we will refund your deposit, less any appropriate charges, as well as a deduction of £50 for the variation of the contract.
