The overall experience in the apartment is very good. The room facilities are relatively new, and the equipment is quite complete, with basically everything needed for daily life. It is very comfortable to live in. The location of the apartment is also very convenient, being quite close to the city center, making travel easy. The only small downside is that the sound insulation is average; you can hear sounds from the living room inside the room. But overall, the cost-performance ratio is very high, and I would still highly recommend staying here.

You're just a 10-minute walk from the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University, also surrounded by trendy restaurants, bars, and supermarkets of all cultures to make everyday life even easier. The ground floor of the building is home to the famous House of Social food hall, where five kitchens offer a variety of cuisines from around the world. In addition, House of Social also offers airport pick-up services, allowing you to travel directly from the airport to your room and simplifying the check-in process.

Feature & Amenities

House of Social has 576 rooms, categorised into 6 types. The Essential and Essential Extra offer the most standard En-suite accommodation, from 12-14 m² in size, equipped with double beds, tables and chairs, bookshelves, wardrobes, and internal bathroom, and access to a shared living room and kitchen. The Enhanced, Elite, and Accessible Studio rooms, on the other hand, offer more private space, and in addition to the usual living furniture, you have a separate oven and hob in the room. The house is very new. When we checked in, we asked the staff, and they said that we are the first batch of residents in September, but there is no need to worry too much about the smell of the house. On the first day, I opened all the windows, and after that, I basically couldn't smell any odor.
