How to pay rent?
The apartment supports logging in to the account, using the TransferMate platform that cooperates with the apartment to pay, or paying by bank wire transfer. 1. To use the TransferMate platform to pay, please log in to your apartment personal account, then select Pay Now on the Booking interface to jump to the TransferMate platform payment interface, then please fill in the relevant information and complete the payment. Please note that the payment mode is that you pay to the TransferMate platform, and then pay to VITA STUDENT after the TransferMate platform receives the student's payment. Therefore, it is estimated that the arrival time after payment is about 3-5 working days. In case of statutory holidays in China and the UK, it will be postponed. 2. Wire transfer payment Vita official currently accepts bank transfers, Chinese wire transfers or transfers from UK bank accounts. The transfer and remittance in the UK generally takes about 1 week to check the update, and the arrival cycle of China's wire transfer generally takes 1-2 weeks. Please note that currently VITA does not have a Chinese bank account, only a British company account. Students in the 21/22 academic year do not need to pay a housing deposit of 350 pounds, but only need to pay the deposit and rent.
What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is someone over the age of 18 who can share the financial responsibility of renting an apartment with you and who can pay the rent for you if you are unable to pay the rent to the apartment for whatever reason. A guarantor is required if you choose to pay the rent in two or four installments when booking. He should agree to be your guarantor and sign the rental documents. The apartment party has the right to recover the unpaid rent from the guarantor. So make sure your sponsor understands his obligations.

Couples are welcome to stay in the apartment, but the price will be slightly different. Currently, double occupancy requires an additional 20% of the rent.
Do I need to pay land tax?
If you are an eligible full-time student, you will be exempt from paying land tax. You must provide proof to the apartment that you are a full-time student
What do I need to pay?
All utilities, 250M broadband and wireless internet, all personal contents insurance are included in the rent, and breakfast is included in the weekly rent from Monday to Friday.
When can I check in?
You can check in at the beginning of the contract. If you arrive at the apartment during non-working hours, it is best to inform the apartment in advance so that the apartment can arrange check-in.
What should I do if something is broken or malfunctioning in my room?
Using the mobile phone software provided by the apartment allows you to report for repairs while staying comfortably in the room! Fill out the repair form, you can also add a picture, and the equipment manager in the apartment will respond as soon as possible. You can also go downstairs yourself and talk to the customer service team at the front desk about the problem, they are more than happy to help.

Can I smoke in the room?
cannot. According to the signed rental agreement, smoking is strictly prohibited in the apartment. Each apartment has a dedicated smoking area, please smoke there.
Can someone else get the key card for me?
No, for security reasons, your key card can only be collected by yourself.
Where can I do my laundry?
All residence halls have laundry rooms in the apartment building with washing machines and dryers. Each wash costs about £2.70; each drying costs about £1.20. You can use the apartment's mobile app to see if your laundry is ready, and to see when the machine is ready for use! The laundry room is also open 24 hours a day.
Can I keep pets inside the apartment?
No, no pets are allowed in the apartment.
If there is a network problem, who should I contact?

Can I drive to the apartment?
All houses in the apartment are located in the city center, very close to the university, and it is very convenient to take public transportation. At the same time, apartment developers are building apartment buildings with the car's environmental impact in mind. Therefore, in view of the location and traffic advantages of the apartment, there is no parking lot in any apartment. Moreover, in some residential areas of the apartment (such as Exeter), it is strictly forbidden to park vehicles within 1.5 kilometers of the dormitory area.
