I studied all my books in China before and had a very different experience in a new city like Washington – at first, I was very worried about encountering scammers, but I was quite lucky and didn't encounter any. They also don't charge a brokerage fee, and the customer service representative Hanna I met was super attentive, plus she was really fun! However, this period is towards the end of the rental season, so many apartments that could be rented from August were already gone – in the end, I and my roommate I found managed to get Hanna to help us find a roommate. During the application process, the apartment was slow in sending the contract and signing it back, but she kept urging the apartment for us.

No agency fees, booking is very convenient, and the agents are very enthusiastic.

The space is quite large, with relatively complete facilities, including a microwave, oven, stove, air conditioning, and washing machine. However, the South tower has some units close to the airport and railway tracks, so there can be occasional noise. The kitchen has three lights, which are quite bright, but the living room area has no lights. The lighting in the rooms has a warm tone, and it is acceptable. It takes about a 5-minute walk to the Crystal City metro station, which serves the yellow and blue lines. Walking to the Costco in Pentagon City takes about 20 minutes.
