What does the rent include
For rent only.

· My lease term is less than one year and I rented it for 11.5 months. Why did I pay 12 rents?
In fact, the student apartment is charged according to your actual rental period (for example, 11.5 months), and then for the convenience of calculation and management, it is directly divided into 12 shares and charged monthly. In this case, whether it is an apartment lease or a website description, it is generally not called rents, but a 12 month installment, which means 12 months installment. For the convenience of management, the apartment is paid on the 1st of each month or in advance. A late fee may occur after the scheduled time of the apartment. For details, please refer to the relevant clauses of the contract.

· Is the apartment furnished?
Not furnished.

· When can I arrive at the earliest and when can I arrive at the latest?
Check-in is generally only possible during the working hours of the apartment. Early / late check-in must be contacted in advance. The apartment requirements shall prevail. Generally, student apartments cannot be checked in earlier than the starting date. With your ID, electronic version of the rental contract, electronic version of the rental insurance, check in.

· Will the apartment collect my parcels? Is it OK before check-in?
Yes, in general, the apartment will not receive parcels until the contract start date.

What if the bedroom or apartment needs repairs?
If you need maintenance, simply log into the resident portal of the apartment website and fill out a maintenance request. You can also call or go to the front desk. If it is an emergency, please notify the front desk immediately or call 911.

· Can I check out early if the rental period is not up?
It is generally not possible unless you find someone who can sublet. Once the lease is signed, the tenant will bear the rent for the entire lease period. Even if the tenant cannot move, the apartment still has the right to require the tenant to pay all the rent. The specific situation is subject to the apartment requirements and the rental contract.

What do I need to do if I cancel the lease?
If you do not renew the lease and you want to move out, you generally need to inform the apartment 60-90 days in advance. If you do not inform, the apartment may be automatically renewed. Generally, this is stipulated in the contract.

What do I need to bring to the apartment?
The apartment is recommended to bring: bedding, daily necessities, kitchenware (including pots and pans) and personal items.

Can I go to Columbus and see the house before deciding to sign?

Try not to. It is best to move in directly after arriving in the United States. Then, the closer the school starts, the higher the rent, and there is no good housing left around the school. Therefore, students, please decide the time you sign according to your actual situation.
