Mile End Campus is QMUL’s largest and primary campus, with a unique blend of historic and modern buildings nestled in the heart of East London.

It’s a green, self-contained site that offers a comprehensive student experience with state-of-the-art facilities, including the Queen’s Building for Engineering and the stunning Octagon Library.

Whitechapel is primarily known for its focus on Medicine and Dentistry, housing the renowned Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry.

This campus is adjacent to the Royal London Hospital, offering unparalleled opportunities for medical students to gain practical experience.

These two specialist campuses in central London focus on Law and Medicine respectively.

 Lincoln’s Inn Fields is home to the School of Law and is just a stone’s throw away from the legal hub of London, making it perfect for law students seeking practical exposure.

Student Accommodation at QMUL: On-campus for Freshman

 Living in student accommodation was an unforgettable part of my uni life. For the first year, I stayed at the Pooley House, one of their many modern halls, just a stone’s throw from the main campus.

As a fresher, living on campus was an integral part of immersing myself in university life, providing me with an instant community and easy access to university resources. However, moving off-campus in the subsequent years opened up a new chapter.

However, moving off-campus in the subsequent years opened up a new chapter. Living near QMUL, I still enjoyed the perks of proximity to my lectures, libraries, and study groups, which was crucial for balancing my academic workload. 

Furthermore, residing just a stone’s throw away from the campus meant that I could easily partake in university events, societies, and spontaneous social gatherings, keeping me connected to the university community.

Near-campus accommodation around QMUL is diverse. And the popular choices, like Rahere Court, Scape Mile End, iQ East Court and more among students include en-suites, studios and shared rooms, which offer a modern living experience with amenities like high-speed internet, en-suite bathrooms, and communal study areas.

The university facilities are top-notch – from the well-equipped library (with over a million titles) to the state-of-the-art sports complex. Outside the classroom, London itself is your playground.

Whether it’s exploring East London’s vibrant art scene or enjoying a serene walk along the Regent’s Canal, there’s never a dull moment.

On-campus Equipments

The Mile End campus, the largest of its sites, is a blend of historic and modern architecture, housing state-of-the-art facilities. The centerpiece is the Queen’s Building, home to many engineering and materials science departments. The Mile End Library, an architectural marvel, offers extensive resources and study spaces, perfect for both group work and individual study.

For students in medicine and dentistry, the Whitechapel campus features the Blizard Building, known for its innovative design and cutting-edge research facilities. 

Alongside these, the campus offers various amenities like the Student Union, sports facilities including the QMotion Health and Fitness Centre, and numerous cafes and eateries, all designed to enhance the student experience.

Outdoor activities at QMUL are as diverse and enriching as its academic offerings.

The Mile End campus, nestled in the heart of East London, is surrounded by green spaces, including the picturesque Regent’s Canal, ideal for jogging, cycling, or a leisurely walk.
