Riding Club
The Riding Club aims to offer something for everyone, whether you have ridden on national teams or have never been on a horse before.
Firstly, the Riding Club offers two university and college sports championship teams for students passionate about competing in competitive events. These teams provide competitive riders the opportunity to compete in intercollegiate equestrian events. Students will represent the University of Southampton against equestrian teams from other universities, honing their skills and showing off their prowess.
Secondly, the Riding Club also has a friendly team for students who are ready to compete but are at an early level or cannot commit to regular training. This team provides a supportive and friendly competitive environment where students have the opportunity to compete in equestrian events and engage in friendly exchanges with other teams.
In addition, the Club offers weekly training sessions from beginner to advanced levels, regardless of the student’s riding level. “Experienced instructors provide these lessons. They design them with the purpose of helping students enhance their riding skills, boost their self-confidence, and enjoy the sport of horsemanship.” Students can attend these classes according to their schedules and interests and learn and grow with other equestrians.
