Portsmouth is a diverse and cosmopolitan city with a wide range of cuisines from all over the world. Not only are there authentic Chinese restaurants, but you’ll also find a wide range of international specialities. You’ll find new and traditional cafes, breakfasts, and the best fish and chips in the UK pub scene.
It’s a one-stop shop where you can savour all kinds of delicious street food. It’s tucked away in an old warehouse near the University of Portsmouth. It’s lively, clean, card-accessible, and you can book a table and place an order on the app.
For authentic English afternoon tea, this shop is a great choice. You can order a set menu with cakes, sandwiches and English black tea, which is cost-effective and delicious. Especially recommended are the scones and cupcakes! Not too sweet, not too greasy, with a fruity aroma.

Portsmouth has beautiful scenery and quite a bit of fun. There are two places you must visit. However, the beauty of Portsmouth lies not just in its landmarks, but also in these simple, unassuming corners where you can find peace, joy, and a sense of belonging.
Gunwharf Quays is a modern mall with stores including designer fashion retailers, bars, cafes and restaurants. You can eat, drink, play and shop all in one stop here. The shopping street is well-branded and crowded. There is also a seaside mini carnival, carousel and Ferris wheel. The specialities of the various food stalls can also be a treat to the palate.
Spinnaker Tower is just a short walk from Gunwharf, at the foot of the towering Spinnaker Tower. It’s an iconic structure on the Portsmouth coastline. It also has a viewing platform. From the top, you can see not only the city, but also the entrance to the Solent and the harbour.
For students living abroad for the first time, finding suitable accommodation to adapt to the new environment is essential. Dormitories provided by the school are safe and convenient, and you can move in on arrival. However, the number of dormitories is relatively limited. Middle Street is situated just a three minute walk from the Portsmouth University Quarter and less than 20 metres from the Eldon Building, Nuffield Campus, ideal for students studying within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries. Students living in the Middle Street student accommodation will have the use of some great communal areas, a lounge (a great place to meet with your new friends in the building and watch TV on the large projector screen), study rooms, state of the art gym (now there is no excuse) and laundry room.
