Point Exe is a warm and welcoming student accommodation in Exeter with a variety of room types to suit different student budgets. With a fully furnished communal kitchen, study rooms, games area, gym and other communal areas for students to relax in, Point Exe is ideally located between the city centre and the university, with a wide range of bars, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep. With the University of Exeter just a 17-minute walk away, students will always be on time for class.

 

Features

Point Exe is a four-storey flat with 221 bedrooms divided into 5-7 person En-suite, each with en-suite bathrooms, fully furnished communal kitchens and Studio rooms with separate bathrooms and kitchenettes. The flats are fully furnished, and the bedrooms are equipped with a comfortable bed, a desk, a chair, a wardrobe etc. The kitchen has a refrigerator, induction cooktop, range hood, microwave, and cabinets. Free high-speed Wi-Fi covers all rooms and common areas at Point Exe. There is also a washing machine and bike storage; the common areas are excellent for socialising and studying. With water, electricity and broadband included in the rent, students have peace of mind knowing that they have access to a wide range of communal facilities.

 

Location and What's Hot?

Point Exe is conveniently located near supermarkets, bars and restaurants. If you like to cook, a Londis supermarket is 6 minutes walk away, and a Tesco Express is nearby, so students can easily buy fresh ingredients. The Imperial - JD Wetherspoon pub is an 8-minute walk away and is a great place to relax with a drink. The city centre is a 13-minute walk from the residence halls, with many supermarkets and the Guildhall Shopping Centre, as well as Exeter Phoenix, Castle Gatehouse and Northernhay Gardens, so you don't have to worry about boredom in your daily life.

 

Transport

Point Exe student accommodation is close to both University of Exeter campuses, about a 20-minute walk away, or by public transport. Exeter College Technology Centre is 31 minutes away by public transport, making it easy for students to commute to classes. St Davids Station is a 4-minute walk away, with several bus routes, from which students can travel to all corners of Exeter. The nearest train station, Exeter St Davids, is a 2-minute walk away, and Exeter Central is a 13-minute walk away, making it easy to travel to other cities in the UK.

Point Exe student apartments offer 24/7 security and can be accessible to students with special needs. Our Emergency Command Centre is on 'standby' 24 hours a day to help you with any emergency issues. Cancellation Policy

No Place No Pay

No Place, No Pay
Eligibility: This policy is only available to first-year undergraduate or first year postgraduate students.
Conditions:
• You must inform Property Supplier within 7 days of receiving your university place rejection.
• You must provide Property Supplier with a written rejection letter from your chosen university/college.
• The final date to submit this evidence is 30th August 2024.
Outcome: If these conditions are met, you can cancel your booking, and Property Supplier will refund any rent paid.

Refund Guarantees Time Limit

7 day cooling off period
To apply for and book, a flat or bedroom at a Property Supplier managed property, you must pay £100 to reserve the room (described herein as "Reservation Rent"). This payment is made at the time of booking through our on-line booking system.

You will have 7 days from making your booking to sign the Tenancy Agreement. The Reservation Rent is fully refundable if you cancel your booking within this period. After this period the Reservation Rent is non refundable.

Once the Tenancy Agreement has been signed, the Reservation Rent will be held until the first rental payment falls due under your Tenancy Agreement and will be offset against the amount due.

To cancel your booking, you must tell us in writing by sending an email to the property you booked with.

No Visa No Pay

No Visa, No Pay (International Students)
Eligibility: This policy is applicable only to first-year undergraduate or postgraduate
international students coming to the UK.
Conditions:
• You must inform Property Supplier within 7 days of receiving notification that your visa application has been declined.
• You must provide Property Supplier with an official notification from the visa authorities.
• The final date to submit this evidence is 30th August 2024.
Outcome: If these conditions are met, you can cancel your booking, and we will refund any rent paid.

Booking, Cancellation Policy, and Liability

Cancellation by Property Supplier
In the unlikely event that Property Supplier have to cancel your booking, Property Supplier will notify you in writing and provide you with alternative accommodation. If the alternative accommodation is not suitable, you will have the option to cancel your booking and receive a full refund of any rent paid.
General Conditions
• Any refund due will be processed within 14 days of receiving the necessary evidence.
• This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
• If you have any extenuating circumstances that prevent you taking your place at University or your room with Property Supplier, you will need to provide evidence of your circumstances. Cases of this nature are considered on a case by case basis, please contact the residence you booked at to enquire and to understand what evidence Property Supplier may require.

When is the due date for rent payment?

Please log in to your account to obtain the rent payment time and date. Generally, the rent needs to be paid in full one year in advance 10 days before the lease start date. Please refer to the specific time on the contract.

How to pay rent?

Rent can be paid online, using a visa or master credit card, and it is also possible to pay with a card that is not your own.

What is included in the rent?

All water, electricity, gas, internet, heating and contents insurance are included in the rent.
