Stanhope House FAQs
Can I live with my friend?
Some rooms do not allow double occupancy. When applying for a room, remember to communicate with your exclusive consultant about the room type and which friend you want to live with or next to. She will try her best to entrust the apartment to help you arrange it.
Can I choose a roommate?
You can ask the consultant about the roommate status of the room you booked, but if any roommate sublets or withdraws the lease later, the apartment will have no way to guarantee the roommate status.
Is there a booking fee?
No reservation fee is required.

No reservation fee is required.
How much is the deposit and when do I need to pay it?
The deposit is £250 and should be paid when applying for an apartment. After a 14-day cooling-off period, the deposit will be retained by DPS. Once the deposit has been deposited, the details will be sent directly to your email and will also appear directly in the contract.
What is a guarantor?
A guarantor is someone who will perform your contractual obligations if you fail to do so – this includes paying any rent or other money owed to us by you that is not paid to you. Your sponsor must be over 18 and live in the UK. They must be financially able to pay your rent if necessary. The guarantor will need to provide a copy of their photo ID and proof of residence within the last 3 months.

What's the next step in booking?
After you have made your reservation and paid your deposit, we will match you with a room and send you a rental contract to sign. If you pay in installments, your guarantor will also need to sign.
Can I scan and email contract documents?
Under normal circumstances, the original contract signature is required, but because we have a cooperation with the apartment, we can scan the signed contract and send it by email. You can consult a consultant for details.
Can I extend the contract period?
We will try our best to meet your request to extend the deadline as long as the lease period of the apartment allows, but we also need to communicate case by case. For details, you can contact your consultant.
Can I move into my room before the contract start date?
It can be discussed with the apartment in advance, and additional fees may apply.
Are utilities included in the rent?
Utilities are included in the rent.
Is TV included in the rent?
Not included.
Are there any other costs?
The apartment may provide additional facilities for an additional fee, such as parking, laundromat, etc., which require a fee.
