With a study room, gym, outdoor patio and other communal spaces for students to relax and unwind, Hampton Square student flats are surrounded by convenience, with supermarkets, food and a gym all just a short walk away! Burgess Road is an 11-minute walk away and is home to local shops and takeaways. Ideally located 10 minutes walk to the University of Southampton and 16 minutes by bus to Southampton Solent University, Hampton Square is the perfect accommodation choice for Southampton students.

 

Features

Hampton Square Student Accommodation offers 526 bedrooms. The main room types are En-suite (ensuite bathroom and shared kitchen) and Studio (ensuite bathroom and kitchen). Each bedroom has a small double bed, table and chairs, full-size dressing mirror, ample storage space and ensuite bathrooms to cater for your daily life. At the same time, the Studio type has an open plan kitchen area with a hob, fridge, microwave and other infrastructures, partitioned off from the bedrooms, and a small dining table and bar stools.

 

Hampton Square student flats have communal spaces such as study rooms, outdoor courtyards and gyms, making studying, relaxing and working out easy. The communal study rooms save students a lot of hassle, and you no longer have to get up early to get a seat in the library. Rent includes all costs, including high-speed WIFI, financial insurance, water, electricity and gas.

 

Location and What's Hot?

Hampton Square is located in a residential area east of the University of Southampton, next to the River ltchen, which is not only naturally beautiful but also close to the university and amenities. The residence halls are just a 7-minute walk from Burgess Road, a small shopping street with supermarkets such as Tesco Express and fast food outlets such as Burger King, McDonald's and Turkish BBQ. Portswood is a 13-minute walk away with a large Sainsbury's supermarket for shopping and a variety of restaurants for meeting friends. Westquay Shopping Centre, a large shopping centre, is just 20 minutes away by tram, and Hampton Square is close to Southampton Common, a large green park where students can take a stroll.

 

Transport

Hampton Square is a 10-minute walk from the University of Southampton and a 13-minute walk from the University of Southampton Avenue Campus. A bus stop on Portswood Road is 4 minutes from the residence halls and a 29-minute bus ride to Southampton Solent University. Swaythling train station is a 14-minute walk away, making it easy to travel to other cities in the UK.

 

Security and Service

Hampton Square student flats have a receptionist who can collect student deliveries during working hours. There is also 24-hour surveillance and 24-hour security to ensure the students' safety in the apartments.

Cancellation Policy

Details

If you are a resident of the following properties, you are required to pay a Holding Deposit to secure your booking,
• Leeds - Asa Briggs House
• Sheffield - Sharman Court
• Southampton - Hampton Square
Holding Deposit - Cancellation Policy (England)
Once you have paid your Holding Deposit and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel then the Holding Deposit is non-refundable. If you have paid the holding deposit and the licence agreement has been accepted by
both parties then you will be held to the terms of the licence until a replacement licensee is found.
If you rebook a room for a subsequent year and your deposit is carried forward, and then you decide to cancel this booking then the deposit will be withheld.

If you are a resident of the following properties, you are required to pay an Advance Rent to secure your booking,
• Bristol - Culver House, Transom House
• Huddersfield – Firth Point, Saw Mill, Snow Island
• London – Bernard Myers House, Sunlight Apartments
• Plymouth – Alexandra Works, Central Point, Discovery Heights, St Teresa House, St Thomas Court
• Sheffield – Central Quay
Advance Rent - Cancellation Policy (England)
Once you have paid your Advance Rent and you have been allocated a room, then should you decide to cancel then the amount equal to the lesser of (i) the Advance Rent and (ii) the amount equivalent to one week’s Licence Fee is non-refundable.
If you have paid the Advance Rent and the licence agreement has been accepted by both parties then you will be held to the terms of the licence until a replacement licensee is found.

Early Move-in Policy

This depends if your room is ready, so it’s best to contact the scheme direct. You would need to pay for the extra days beforehand.

Refund Policy

Unfortunately, you are committed under the licence agreement to pay the full rent, however if you decide you want to leave early please tell the managers of your site asap. We may have a waiting list of people that would like to take over your licence agreement which would then relinquish you from your contract. If you find a new Licensee, we'll let you out of your agreement from the day they move in, and refund you any unused rent that you've paid in advance. We cannot refund your rent until you have found someone to take over your licence agreement, their booking is confirmed and they have paid the first instalment of their rent.

Rooms are assigned on arrival. However, students can provide their preferences in advance and we will do our best st to follow them - depends on the availability at the time.

Room Change Policy

If you’d like to change your room once you’ve moved in, we’ll do our best to accommodate you (providing we’re not fully booked). If you’ve moved to a cheaper room, any excess rent you’ve already paid will be taken off the next instalment. If you’ve already paid for the whole year, we’ll simply give you a refund of the difference.

It couldn't be easier! We can only take bookings through our website; this is a really easy and secure system. Simply select your chosen location, the room you want and then follow the steps. If you are having any problems making a booking online then please contact the scheme directly.

Once you've paid your advance rent, you will be allocated a room and receive an email with instructions on how to complete the booking process. Please note, there is a 10 day deadline to accept your room offer and sign your licence agreement electronically. Failure to complete your booking may result in your booking being cancelled and you will forfeit your advance rent. Please note, if your booking is made within 14 days of the licence start date we reserve the right to reduce the acceptance period to within 48 hours of the licence start date.

How to pay rent?

Please enter the Student Portal interface of your apartment, click Pay Here to enter the payment interface, then tick the items that need to be paid, and click Confirm to enter the payment interface. The apartment supports online credit card payment (support debit card or credit card) or bank transfer (only supports Transfermate payment platform) 1. Online credit card, please select the worldpay option, and then enter your bank card information. Please make sure the payment card type is one of the following four: Mastercard/Visa/Maestro/JCB. And please make sure that the payment card has sufficient amount, and the bank is opened and supports the payment behavior. Please note that payment cards do not need to be present in person. 2. For bank remittance, please select the Transfermate platform, fill in the information as required, and then complete the corresponding payment at the bank. However, please note that wire transfers may take multiple business days to arrive.
