Absolutely! You can choose the floor, flat, and room numbers that you want. The Residence Team can help you figure out which room would be best for you.
Am I allowed to smoke at the property?
All our student accommodation is smoke-free, so please use designated smoking areas outside the buildings or in the courtyards.
Can I/my friends park at the building?
Most of our buildings don’t have allocated visitor parking, but there are nearby locations for you to park. Contact the Residence Team at your chosen location for more information.
Do I need a deposit?
Unlike many other providers, we don’t require a deposit to secure your booking. Instead, we ask for an advance rent payment, which we’ll take off your first rent instalment. It’s like a little gift to yourself when September rolls around!
How do I wash my clothes?
There are on-site laundries with washers and dryers at all our locations. You can pay for these via an app on a pay as you go basis.
How do I make a booking?
Simply click the book button on the room type you want, you can then follow the instructions on the screen to secure your room. If you have any issues or questions, just reach out to the Residence Team at your chosen location who will be more than happy to assist.
Can I live with friends?
Definitely! If you’re interested in living in a cluster flat with your friends, just let us know who you want to live with, and we’ll do our best to make it happen. Be aware, we are more likely to be able to facilitate this early in the year, with many sites selling out the closer we get to September.
How do I know who I’m living with?
We don’t give out names for privacy reasons, but you can get a better idea of who you’ll be living with via our residents groups that are shared prior to check-in or by asking your site team to provide you with information such as gender, year and uni.
Can I cancel after booking?
We work on a 5 day “cooling off” period. This means that should you need to, you can cancel your booking within 5 days of signing your tenancy agreement, as long as you have not yet moved in.
If you need to cancel after the “cooling off” period, we’ll allow it in certain circumstances, like if your UK visa is refused or you don’t make the grades for your chosen university. Just make sure to send us your UCAS notification or visa refusal documentation within 72 hours of receiving it.
You can also transfer your obligations to someone else if you find a replacement tenant who’s eligible to live in the property. We’ll need to run some checks to confirm their eligibility, but once everything’s in order, they’ll take over the tenancy agreement.

Will my flat get cleaned?
Your student room and shared areas will be spotlessly clean when you arrive, but after that, it’s up to you! Don’t hesitate to ask our Residence Teams for advice or help if needed.
How do I connect to the internet?
Connecting to the internet is easy – just connect your devices to the wireless network on arrival. You can also use an Ethernet cable, which you can plug into the network wall socket in your room.
What can’t I do in my accommodation?
For health and safety reasons, we don’t allow candles, incense burners, deep fat fryers, or any electrical appliances that don’t comply with British standards and statutory regulations. We are also unable to accommodate E-scooters or any other alternatives. Please don’t bring any of these on-site.

How much fridge space is there in the studio rooms?
All studios come with a small fridge with a freezer compartment.
Can I bring my rice cooker/electric pressure cooker?
Sorry, but we don’t allow rice cookers or electric pressure cookers – their high voltage can be dangerous.
What if I need to leave before my tenancy ends?
We may have Tenancy Takeover options available, but it’s best to contact our Residence Teams for the most up-to-date information.
Will my bedroom be inspected when I move out?
Yes, your room will be inspected at least three times during your tenancy for maintenance checks. Any maintenance issues, damage, or missing items will be logged and addressed accordingly. After each visit, you will be informed of any issues found, and if there will be any charges for correcting them.
