Short-Term Student Accommodation in Glasgow

I booked a room on Yixiang, and the agent was very enthusiastic; the entire booking process was very smooth.

The room was clean and tidy, and the studio for one person was a full 25 square meters, with complete and almost new facilities, which gave me a great surprise.

The apartment has a laundry room, a cinema, a billiard table, a gym, a basketball court, and a variety of fitness equipment; the front desk service is available whenever needed.

The environment around the apartment is tranquil, and the road downstairs is not a main thoroughfare with hardly any vehicle traffic, so there is virtually no noise at all, making it very suitable for friends who enjoy peace and quiet.

I highly recommend that everyone book through Yixiang.

After discussing it with friends, I found that this is the most suitable location near the school. Within 5–10 minutes, you can reach nearby Chinese supermarkets and other local supermarkets, as well as the subway and train stations, making shopping and daily life very convenient. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the main school building and other classrooms (btw, if you have many classes at the Faculty of Education, you should take that into consideration—it takes 30 minutes to walk there, but there is a subway right outside that takes you there in about ten minutes). Let's talk about the downsides. There is no range hood here, so after cooking anything with a strong smell, you'll definitely end up smelling like it. I live in an en-suite room facing west. Because the window can't be opened wide and there is no opposite window for cross-ventilation, the ventilation is very poor. Summer can be quite tough; in the evening, the outdoor temperature has actually dropped, but the indoor temperature stays very high (this is what I dislike the most). However, summer here lasts less than a month, so it's still completely acceptable. Oh, and I should add that the internet speed is really terrible. Overall, West Village is pretty good. The front desk handles packages in a very standardized way, and when you report a problem, they can usually come to fix it the same day (on weekdays). The staff are all quite friendly, and you need to swipe your card to enter and exit, both inside and outside, so basic safety is still guaranteed.

1. Space and Layout: studio • Layout: The functional areas are simple and straightforward, with the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom each serving their own purpose The window is right next to the bed, and the built-in curtains have pretty good blackout effect • Space: The area is more than enough for one person, and there is plenty of storage space ✌️ 2. Amenities Tesco, Aijia, Sainsburys, and Boots are all nearby, so you don't have to go far to buy groceries and daily necessities 🚶‍♀️ If you walk a bit farther, there are also Lidl and Morrisons (near West Village) 3. Transportation 🚗 The bus stop to the city center is very close, making it convenient to take the bus for daily trips 🚌; the subway station and train station are a bit farther away, but fortunately the school isn't too far, so the overall commute feels fairly relaxed 🚶 4. Living Environment 🌿 There is a TV in the room, so you can bring your own cable to connect it to a laptop or tablet to watch TV. The shower controls are relatively modern. The shared spaces include a gym (with some basic equipment, which is more or less enough), KTV, a ball games room, and a study area There is a railway nearby, so you can hear trains passing by from time to time 🚂, day and night, but it doesn't really bother me

I had great experience with Kashish Khan at uhomes. I was searching for accommodation in Glasgow for my son and niece where I came across few ads. And I saw uhomes and contacted them after reading their good reviews in Trustpilot which sincerely gave some sort of confidence in dealing with them. Kashish was so prompt and helpful. Since it was urgent with rooms going off fast, she was accommodating me with full assistance. She helped me to get the 2 rooms up to securing the tenancy agreement.I truly appreciate her negotiation on payment terms from full payment to quarterly base. That provided a financial relief for us. Thank you so much Kashish for your guidance and patience throughout the process. I recommend uhomes for accommodation search engine. Keep up your professionalism in emphasising your customer need, Kashish. Thank you again for your 1st class service.

If you ask me how Mungo is, it's definitely a must-stay 😋😋😋 The elevator is slower than in China, and it was out of service for 3 months during the Christmas holidays. There are a total of two treadmills in the gym, one is broken and it hasn't been repaired for a year. For safety reasons, the windows have limiters, so the ventilation is average. When new arrivals come, the apartment expects you to tidy up the common areas. The photo of the kitchen on p3 is the kitchen we tidied up, and p4 is what the apartment team said about our kitchen not being clean enough. When I moved in, my toilet was missing a floor drain cover on p5 (p6 is normal), and the odor was very strong. I reported it to the front desk, and they told me they didn't think it was missing a part, and if I felt it was a problem, I should buy one myself. I went to the front desk and emailed them three or four times without resolution. Later, I contacted uhomes.com customer service to have them send an email, and a maintenance worker came. He took a quick look at my bathroom, went downstairs to get a part, and installed it for me. Uhomes.com is really reliable. The maintenance speed at Mungo is fast, and the customer service attitude is good, paying a lot of attention to the safety of the residents 👍👍👍👍👍👍

It looks exactly like the photos, and I really like the large floor-to-ceiling windows in the room. It's very convenient to get to the city center, and there's a Tesco downstairs that stays open until 11 p.m., which is super convenient for grocery shopping during deadline periods! To get to the University of Glasgow, you usually need to take the subway and leave 40 minutes in advance to avoid being late. There's a big slope of nearly 10 minutes on the way to the subway station, which can be a bit tiring. The apartment has all the basic facilities—simple but complete, and relatively new. Overall, the service team is good: they handle parcel collection and delivery carefully, clean the common areas promptly, and often come to do inspections. During my roughly 40-week stay, they inspected the apartment 4 times. Maintenance and replacements are quite timely by UK standards. The only issue is that there is a bit of an odor in the bathroom. The team dealt with it, but it was never fully resolved, though there was some improvement. Overall, it's a recommended place to stay in the city center.

The room looks basically the same as in the photos. There is a TV cabinet, an induction cooktop, a refrigerator, and the bathroom has a toilet, a showerhead, and a mirror. There is a high table in the room, and you can get a stool from the property management. The mattress is a little soft, but it's generally fine for sleeping. The window can be opened a bit, but there is a railway outside, and there are quite a lot of trains, so there is some noise. Downstairs in the apartment building, there is access control, and you need to swipe a card to use the elevator. The common area on the first floor is pretty good. There is an iron gate outside, and a courtyard inside; at night, you need to swipe your card to enter. It takes about 30 minutes to walk to the city center, or you can take a bus. It also takes a little over 10 minutes to walk to the University of Glasgow. There are also quite a few supermarkets and restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The appliances shown in the pictures are provided by the accommodation, while the other daily necessities are my own.

This apartment is in an excellent location, just a three- to five-minute walk from the transportation hub and the core commercial district. Supermarkets and restaurants are all nearby, making daily life extremely convenient. The facilities far exceeded my expectations: the appliances and furniture are complete and brand-new, and even the dishwasher and dryer work very well, greatly enhancing the living experience. At first, I was worried it might be noisy because it faces the street, but after moving in, I found that the soundproofing is excellent, completely blocking out outside noise. It is very quiet at night, and the sleep quality is outstanding. Finally, regarding the overall environment, the community's landscaping is thoughtfully designed, the security system is strict yet user-friendly, and the public areas are cleaned by dedicated staff every day. This place feels comfortable and reassuring.

Great place to stay, a couple of minutes' walk to the university: Strathclyde and College of Glasgow. The staff are friendly and willing to solve problems; they always greet us with smiles. The common areas are clean and tidy, with many accessible facilities such as billiards, kitchen, table tennis, laundry room, cinema room, and gaming console.

Fair price considering what was mentioned above.

The apartment's biggest advantage is its location. It is located in Glasgow city centre, very close to the train station, subway station, and the main commercial area downtown. Daily shopping, dining, and transportation are all very convenient, which saves students a lot of commuting time. The apartment is also relatively close to the university, and the surrounding living facilities are fairly complete. The apartment itself is quite new, with an overall modern interior style and well-equipped rooms. The rooms have good natural lighting, and some room types offer nice city views. They are also equipped with air conditioning, so the overall living comfort is quite good. The communal areas are also well developed, with facilities such as a gym, cinema, and billiards, allowing residents to relax and enjoy leisure activities after studying. The front desk staff are generally friendly, and if there are any issues with the room or daily living, they can usually communicate and handle them in a timely manner, which is definitely a positive point. Of course, the apartment also has some shortcomings. First, the internet can occasionally be unstable. Although it works normally most of the time, it may sometimes suddenly slow down or disconnect, which could have some impact on students who need to study online or attend meetings for long periods. Second, the sound insulation varies between rooms. Some rooms may be affected by noise from the street, trains, or neighboring residents. Therefore, if you care a lot about having a quiet living environment, it is recommended to check the room's location and orientation in advance when booking. In addition, the cleanliness of some communal areas and waste disposal may occasionally need improvement, and the laundry room can become crowded during peak hours.

Everything is quite good, just the soundproofing is average. However, studios are like this. The front desk staff is very reliable, so you don't have to worry about communication issues. The front desk staff is Chinese. This apartment has an excellent location, just a five to ten-minute walk to transportation hubs and the core business district, with supermarkets and restaurants all around, making daily living very convenient. The facilities far exceeded expectations; not only are the appliances and furniture well-equipped and brand new, but the dishwasher and dryer are also very useful, greatly enhancing the living experience. Initially, I was worried that being near the street would be noisy, but upon moving in, I found the soundproofing of the house to be done extremely well, completely isolating the external noise. It is very quiet at night, and the sleep quality is very high. Finally, let's talk about the overall environment. The internal landscaping of the community is very meticulous, the security system is strict yet user-friendly, and the public areas are cleaned daily by dedicated staff. It makes people feel comfortable and secure.

St Mungo's Roost is located in Glasgow, just a short walk from the University of Strathclyde, making the commute to campus very convenient. It also offers easy access to the city center and train stations. The property provides a wide range of room options, including en-suite rooms and studios. The amenities are well-equipped, including a study room, cinema room, 24-hour gym, and courtyard, meeting both study and leisure needs. Rent includes utilities, internet, and contents insurance, so all bills are included and there is no need to handle separate payments. With 24-hour front desk service, solid security, a communal laundry room, and other convenient living facilities, it is overall very suitable for international students and offers a high level of everyday convenience.

During my master's studies at the University of Glasgow, I chose the Gold Studio room type at West Village, and the overall living experience was excellent. Here are my honest thoughts: Advantages: Unbeatable location: The apartment is very close to the University of Glasgow, making it easy to walk to class every day and saving a lot of commuting time. Supermarkets, restaurants, and daily amenities are all available nearby, which is very convenient. High-quality private kitchen: As someone who enjoys cooking, the private kitchen in the room is definitely the biggest plus. Whether I'm buying good-quality beef to cook a steak or preparing daily fitness meals, the countertop space and facilities are more than sufficient. I no longer have to deal with the hassle of sharing a kitchen with others. Spacious room with efficient use of space: The Gold Studio is very spacious. The large desk is great for researching and writing papers, and there is even enough room to do some basic daily strength training and stretching. Excellent privacy: With a private bathroom and living area, there is no need to worry about conflicts in daily habits. The soundproofing is also good, so whether I'm focusing on studying or relaxing with games on the weekend, I won't be disturbed.

I really enjoyed living in the Stewart house. The staff do not enter the room without permission; even when the door is opened, they will wait a distance away until you agree to let them in. If there are any issues, they will come over across the street. It is very close to the city center, but if you think that's too far, there are also large supermarkets nearby to buy food. The only downside is that it is quite far from the school, which is not suitable for students with evening classes. The heating is sufficient and controlled by water heating, and there are no restrictions on using Chinese electrical appliances; they will not look around when entering your room. During festivals, they also decorate the dormitory building here. There will be dormitory activities... In summer, be careful of flying insects, and remember not to live too low in the building. Book early for a large room, but the small nest is also very nice.

Overall, it's great. The heating is sufficient, the soundproofing is very good, and the bathroom is huge!! The apartment feels really nice, and the whole move-in process was especially pleasant and reassuring. The room layout is also a style I really like—simple, fresh, and clean. All kinds of facilities are complete, and the hygiene is very detailed. It was a very satisfying stay. Highly recommended. I didn't expect that a place I booked casually would turn out to be this good! There was no renovation smell. The room was very clean, and the bed was moderately firm and very comfortable to lie on. The price is quite affordable too—truly great value for money. Recommended! Since moving into this new apartment, I've felt so much more comfortable overall. I no longer have to suffer from the shared-rental situation I had before. In the past, seeing the terrible state of the shared bathroom every day would really ruin my mood for the whole day. I'm posting this to recommend it. Being able to rent a one-bedroom apartment at this price, with water, internet, and maintenance fees included, is really good. Also, there is a shared kitchen and a gym on the sixth floor. I remember being misled by some agents for an entire day when I was looking for a place, and in the end I found this great place myself. The photos are all real too. Anyone interested in renting should go check it out.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. The room was fully equipped, the environment was very comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, so my rest at night was hardly affected. The internet speed was fast and stable, making it very convenient for studying and browsing online. My roommates were all very nice, and we got along very well. The common areas were also kept quite clean, and the cleaning staff were diligent and responsible. The front desk staff had a great attitude, and when there were any issues, communication and handling were relatively prompt. The service was excellent. During my stay, I felt very safe and comfortable overall. I was very satisfied with the room conditions, internet, cleanliness, and staff service. It is a very good place to live, and if I have the opportunity in the future, I would be willing to stay here again. I would also recommend it to other students.

The overall living experience is quite good. The apartment is well maintained in terms of cleanliness, and the common areas are kept clean and tidy, creating a comfortable living environment. The hot water in the room comes out very quickly, so hot water is available whenever needed, which makes daily life very convenient. The front desk staff are very responsible and handle all matters carefully and reliably. I have never had any issues with lost packages when storing or receiving deliveries there, which gives me great peace of mind. The front desk staff are warm and friendly, often greeting residents proactively, and their service attitude is kind and approachable, making communication and getting things done a pleasant experience. Parking at the entrance of the apartment is convenient, so there is no need to worry about parking when driving. The location is also very good, with convenient access to nearby supermarkets, shopping areas, and transportation stations. Overall, both the facilities and property services are well managed, offering a strong sense of safety and comfort for daily living. It is an apartment well worth choosing.

My apartment stay in the UK this time truly exceeded my expectations, and I have to give it a huge thumbs-up! First of all, the apartment is in an excellent location, with convenient transportation nearby. It's very close to both the subway station and large supermarkets, making it extremely convenient for daily commuting as well as weekend trips to the city center. Secondly, the room is spacious and bright, with modern yet cozy decor. What surprised me the most was how complete the facilities were: not only were there comfortable bedding and high-speed Wi-Fi, but the kitchen was also equipped with fully functional small appliances, allowing me to easily take care of all three meals a day even while living abroad. It truly gave me the convenience of a "home away from home." In addition, the apartment's security measures are very well handled, and the 24-hour access control makes living here feel especially safe. The staff are also very warm and professional; whenever I encountered any issue, they responded quickly and patiently helped resolve it. Whether in terms of living comfort or service experience, this stay was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend it to international students preparing to come to Glasgow!

I had a wonderful experience living in Aparto Glasgow West End, the property was clean, and well-maintained. The location was incredibly convenient, and the management team was always helpful and responsive. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable home in the UK.
